Get to a healthier and more active life with Google Fit!
It’s hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health.
Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity, such as picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30 minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO’s recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep and increase overall mental wellbeing.
Google Fit will also help you:
SEE YOUR WORKOUTS
Get insights and see stats such as heart rate, speed, pace, route and more for your runs, walks and bike rides.
MONITOR YOUR GOALS
See your daily progress on your Heart Points and steps. Meeting your goals all the time? Easily adjust your goals to keep challenging yourself to achieve a healthy heart and mind.
MAKE EVERY MOVE COUNT
All physical activity can help you lead a healthier life, and with Google Fit you can track it all in one place. Working with your favourite fitness apps and devices, Google Fit builds a journal of your activity. And to make sure Fit never misses a workout, you can manually add any activity that your other apps didn’t track – from aerobics to Zumba!
CONNECT WITH YOUR FAVOURITE APPS AND DEVICES
Google Fit can show you info from many of your favourite apps and devices that are compatible with Apple Health to give you a holistic view of your health, so you’ll never lose track of your progress. These include Lifesum, Runkeeper, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Headspace and more.

Google Fit FAQ
Is Google Fit free?
Yes, Google Fit is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Google Fit legit?
⚠️ The Google Fit app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The app is built very good
But have you considered adding the option to start an activity(running for example )and when you press”start activity“, the app will count your steps, your distance and any other data as usual as well as doing it live on the background and letting you know exactly how far you ran, how fast were you, you average or correct hear pace and more.
Will be happy to see that sometime🫶

Steps disappear
I like the app and it's clean UI but after using for a few days, my steps started to disappear. From other apps, I can see the data but not in this one. For instance, 380 steps in a 30 min elliptical session that gave me 60 heart points? Unlikely.
Accurate issue
Will, Google should stop this app, data’s never on real time, scores will decrease or increase without any reason, this app suppose stop for good or remodify asap!
Works better than apple: tips for use
Works better than apple fitness.
If you’re having issues I recommend disconnecting it from apple fit and health. Also don’t hold your phone in your hand, keep it in your back pocket, that’s when you get the most accurate tracking.
Error
This app has been amazing for years. For some reason, it’s no longer calculating my active time properly when I enter in my time walked. I also notice that sometimes it’s subtracting from the time on the very right. Please fix this!!
Disappearing step data
The discrepancies in data between the Apple Health app and Google fit are getting worse. You actively see step data counting downward almost EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE APP. Having to manually input the deleted step data is beyond aggravating. I assume we’ll have to get a new Google AI app for this.
App is completely inaccurate
Tried the app, first day it was tracking my steps somewhat accurate… second day, completely inaccurate. I walked 2.5 miles, yet the app calculated that I walked 0.8 miles… Google please do better because I’ve used off brand apps that calculated everything from push ups to walking accurately. Currently looking for that app as I review this. Deletion on the way!

Why doesn’t this app connect to Apple Watch? Without that it doesn’t get all of a persons activity
