Description

Part of our complete GPS ecosystem, the Lezyne Ally app is the key link between your phone and your Lezyne GPS device. The free app features the latest interactive and real-time technologies designed to enhance your cycling experience. Once paired to one of our GPS devices, you'll enjoy easy device customization, wireless ride syncing, route loading and mapping, and so much more. Experience effortless navigation, import .tcx and .gpx files, and connect cycling routes directly through the application. Additionally, the app is an easy-to-use resource to instantly save, store, and review rides from the palm of your hand. Activities can then be auto-synced to third party apps such as Strava, Komoot, Relive, TrainingPeaks, and more, as well as shared to popular social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter.

With the Lezyne Ally app, you can also take advantage of our Lezyne Track feature. When enabled, simply create a list of email addresses in the app and those recipients will then be notified every time you start a ride. These notification emails will include a link to our live tracking website where coaches, friends, and loved ones can keep track of where you are and see all of your ride metrics.

This app is for use with Lezyne Y10 and newer GPS Devices (2017 Model Year and newer).
Please use the Ally V1 app with Y9 GPS devices (With a silver bezel).

Just buy a Garmin

Firmware update

It has been a year since the last update…what’s happening?

Very Poor

Hajster1 on

Very poor app assistance and consistently saying requires update even though using latest firmware. Great device. Software development lets it down.

Unreliable. No timely support

mintdj on

Was working reliably for a while finally, then suddenly there’s an issue with the app seemingly not connecting resulting in inability to sync to cloud (and therefore other apps like Strava) or log in. App shows “error. Check your internet connection”. Internet connection works perfectly for everything else via wifi or mobile network. Have tried reinstalling , restarting etc. This is an Ally V2 app issue, but no info anywhere or response from leZyne. Interesting to note that there are no 5 star reviews for this app. It def needs more time and effort to make it work consistently, and not drop out

Been pretty reliable. Not polished but definitely a decent utilitarian app

Would recommend the lezyne gps systems, especially for battery life

Garbish

StuBellDesign on

Unit simply won’t connect to my phone. How hard should it be. Don’t bother.

Super inconsistent. Clunky and in accurate.

Works well when it does. Otherwise sometimes rides don’t upload to Strava, sometimes they’ll automatically upload; it’s all a lottery. Clunky updating through USB cable and the web; just do it over wifi / Bluetooth please. Also with the latest update it’s been recording roughly HALF the vertical metres of a ride, something I’ve confirmed when on a group ride and everyone has the correct value. Maybe it’s the Mega XL gps I have that’s faulty. Also the app itself doesn’t have that many updates on the App Store in comparison to all the other apps.

Poor app design and connectivity

Mooselegs on

The app is not very intuitive but does the trick. Despite buying a new device (lezyne super gps) I found the app wouldn’t upload rides to the cloud unless the firmware was updated. While this is understandable the app should have a least said to update firmware rather than making me trawl through every FAQ and troubleshooting guide on the internet.

Disappointed

My lezyne GPS won’t auto connect to my phone. Every single time I turn on the GPS, it asks me to open the ally app. Every. Single. Time. Since it doesn’t auto connect to my phone, it takes ages to get satellite connection. I can either stand around waiting, or miss recording the first couple of km of every ride. I’ve tried every suggested fix to get it to work properly. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app. I’ve rebooted my phone. I’ve updated the GPS to the latest firmware. I’ve factory reset the GPS device. And good luck contacting Lezyne. Unless you’re American, they don’t want to hear from you. I’m really disappointed and at this point thinking I should have spent more money to get something else.

Don’t buy it for the phone and app features

buy a garmin on

Currently doesn’t work on my iPhone 6s Bought for the connectivity with phones however I’ve found the Bluetooth and app the most frustrating part of owning a Lezyne. Gripes. Doesn’t resume sync via Bluetooth when you go out of range and come back into range of cycling computer. Perfect scenario. The coffee stop. Doesn’t always sync with bike computer post ride. Currently I’m connecting to computer via usb to do that. Doesn’t give me alerts as app currently doesn’t sync with the bike computer. And iPhone 6s with latest iOS. Basically this app is a waste of space on a portable device. Buy a Garmin or whahoo. As the app functionality is filled with problems.
