Description

Are you tired of personal finance apps that are overloaded with features you don't need? GreenBooks isn't like that. It is powerful enough to do all the money management tasks you need, but with none of the complexity you don't.

• All your accounts, in one place
GreenBooks makes it easy to keep track of all of your accounts in one place. It makes tasks you do everyday such as entering transactions super easy and fast.

• Privacy focused. No advertisements.
GreenBooks keeps our users’ best interests in mind. It does not collect data and does not sell user information to third-party platforms. Maintaining privacy and delivering optimal user experience is our highest priority.

• Define your own spending categories
The key to money management is to put your transactions into categories, that way you can see where your money goes. GreenBooks lets you easily create your own categories.

• View the breakdown of your spending by category
The Breakdown chart shows you where your money is going, by breaking down your expenses and incomes by categories. Now you can answer the question, "where did all my money go?"

• Keep track of bills and subscriptions
Scheduled transactions let you keep track of all of your recurring bills. Set reminders so you never forget to pay them, and when your bills are due, log the payment with a tap.

• Reconcile your accounts easily
It's easy to reconcile accounts in GreenBooks with your bank. New transactions are marked as pending with a yellow flag, just tap the flag to clear it. You see both the ledger and cleared balance of your accounts at any time.

• Split transactions
If you spent money in a store but they don’t all belong to the same category, simply split the transaction into multiple categories.

• Passcode protection
Easily protect your data with a PIN.

• Connect to banks or enter manually. It’s your choice.
GreenBooks has the ability to connect directly to the bank (via the Mac app), however, it is not necessary. You can enforce good spending habits by entering transactions manually.

• Use GreenBooks for Mac for even more power.
GreenBooks for Mac has advanced features such as connecting to banks, editing multiple transactions at once, creating long-term budgets, viewing your net worth and spending trends over time. Data is automatically synchronized with the iPhone app via iCloud.

• More Useful Features
Multi-currency support, Dark Mode, data export, and other fantastic features…

GreenBooks Reviews

Simple and portable

GordonRunkle on

I’ve been using GreenBooks daily for about a year now, and it’s been solid and reliable. The interface and feature set is straightforward and does just what I need. Scheduled transactions are particularly helpful, as is the syncing through iCloud. GreenBooks fits my needs perfectly.

GreenBooks: A good choice for the typical user

Ofnayim on

GreenBooks is a simple, easy to use way of keeping track of household spending. The typical user will find this tool invaluable for monitoring and controlling their expenses and establishing a budget. I would not recommend it for small business owners. They would be better served by an application that uses double entry.

Looking for something to replace old PocketMoney

Waterdancer99 on

I had an old version of Pocket Money, a different bookkeeping app, on Android. Originally had on iPhone but switched to Android & now I’m on iPhone again. That app no longer has the functions it used to & I can’t find help for the version I had in my now old phone. GreenBooks on iPhone has ability to have more than one account, split categories in a transaction, scheduled repeated recurring transactions, and shows my cleared balance & my balance of the total of transactions that have posted. So far, it’s the closest app I’ve found with features I need. And I’ve liked at many! Not 5 stars tho because lacking several features I had become accustomed to: I wish it showed (swiping between) current balance, cleared balance (it shows this), available credit, available funds, & future balance (it shows the balance of all payments posted not cleared & not the scheduled repeating transactions I have yet to post). I wish the app had the ability to input more credit card info: the interest rate, the statement cycle/closing date, the institution, the phone & website, the credit limit, the exp date, the account #, & fees possible (over limit, late payment, annual, etc), in the credit card accounts. I wish all accounts listed had an option to include or not to include them in “total worth”. It would be nice if the app had another feature for budgeting to create a budget, and then when running reports or I guess it works be called viewing the breakdown of where my money went, I would be able to see how my income and expenses compared to my planned budget. So far it’s the closet I’ve come to having all the features I need. I can add checking, savings, credit, and cash accounts. I can create my own & multiple categories. One transaction can have split categories. I can schedule recurring transactions. It shows cleared balance and total balance of everything posted. It so back up to iCloud. It has an option for a passcode. It’s off to a great start!

Surprised by how good

I’ve been using GreenBooks for about 2 months along with another app and I am pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I’ll be getting rid of the other app.

I can’t seem to find a search function. Without that, the app is not a good fit for me.

Don’t like it, might as well just setup spreadsheet
