Heatmiser Neo

On two separate occasions now Heatmiser has deployed a firmware update to their hub that has broken HomeKit integration. Their support will get you to run around rebooting and resetting thermostats losing all your settings, schedules and history before admitting that there is a problem with the firmware. Abysmal quality control.

Strange order of things Resetting the password also a real nightmare

Virtually unusable. No clear instructions. I just want to turn my heating on and off and set timers. Impossible to work out.

Randomly goes offline.

Worst app ever used. Wasted too many hours of my life trying to make it work and it still doesn’t.

Does not work with Home app. Poorly designed with incorrect reading and frequently not kicking hot water on. Wish I have just used Google Nest and Starling. Should work well but the Home app reads a different temperature to the thermostat / Neo app. Very annoying. I think the feed to the Home app rounds up to the nearest 0.5 degree so the Home app is always out. Also why does Home have two switches for hot water??? Could be faultless but it’s not. No guidance which switch does what. I view this system as an expensive waste of money. The guidance on line from the company is even using the old Home app and is so basic it does not address the issues above.

There doesn’t appear to be a back arrow to get out of screens. If you go into something that you want to exit without making changes to, you have to completely exit the app and then go back into it later. It’s not user friendly at all.

It’s a great system until it goes wrong. Then it would be better if I could contact someone.

The whole heatmeiser app and system is brilliant - I use it across multiple properties. The new hours run feature has a bug. Some of my zones aren’t reporting the right figure / when I compare to hours run in enhanced history it’s a different amount. Also the app keeps crashing when on the hours run chart so some sorting to do! This is despite the latest app update which I downloaded 22/04/24 Please can you take a look - thanks

Worked initially but now I’m just using the thermostat controls as the app is all over the place., constantly losing connection. I also have a hive device and the app works perfectly. Really disappointed but I’m stuck with what the plumber has installed :(
