Is Heatmiser Neo free?
Yes, Heatmiser Neo is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Heatmiser Neo legit?
⚠️ The Heatmiser Neo app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The Neo system is very powerful and configurable, have had it in two houses now.
But unfortunately the app has a number of bugs that have not been fixed for years, it appears there is little investment in it.
- for an hour or so after midnight, you can’t see graphs properly for the previous day
- tapping “enhanced history” changes to a landscape view but then will close the graph again if you flip your phone to landscape too quickly. Leading to a little dance to get the timing right and keep the graph displayed
- When you change set temperature the flame may display to show “call for heat” even though the thermostat has not in fact switched on, due to the hysteresis setting. The flame will disappear again about a minute later, presumably once the backend sync has happened to the hub
- the temperature hold function is clunky and easy to get wrong (tap hold, change the temperature (flame may display but means nothing) , slide the slider, then tap “done” when it finally takes effect.
Awful
Really difficult to navigate. It doesn’t work properly and has been a disaster in our home. Not fit for purpose.
Don’t understand
I love the idea but they put to much on it just make it easier to work like who designed it some tec person I just don’t have the time to sit down and read pages of a book and then try and explain it to the wife and kids like why do people always think more is better if
Needs improvement
Needs a lot more work. Clunky interface on mobile. Should be able to set multiple rooms in one go rather than having to go into each room.
Crap app
Not worth the money. Does not even tell you when the boiler was on.
Confusing symbols
I find that the symbols used in programming the app are very confusing. For example the lock symbol colours for “locked” and “unlocked” do not even use industry colours, red and green! I am not suggesting that red/ green is a satisfactory solution! Why not call them what they are - Locked and Unlocked!
For me, and I expect many many other users, this is a major flaw.
Need Energy crisis update
With increased energy costs , need to have a 0.5% change of temp option and a hold option of 15 minutes
Great when it works
The last 2 updates have caused some glitches which are preventing me from basically everything.
The ‘done’ button doesn’t work at all and you can’t confirm new times, temps etc.
I feel Digital thermometer difficult to operate
I have a lot of difficulty getting both the phone app and digital termo to do what I want, as in come one when I want it too.
Rubbish .
Was fine but now the temp takes over and boilers run 24 hours a day !
