There are some useful aspects of this app - I think the daily target setting and tracking is useful and energizing. The content is meh - okay. I have followed Brian for a long time - and it has been interesting to see the evolution of his ideas from Optimize to Heroic to the Philosophers Notes. I found the Basic Training curriculum to be useful and sparked some new good ideas. My primary critique here is that the content has self-centered undertones of being the cult of Brian… nearly every video, every philosopher’s note, even meditations, are self-referential to Brian… when they would be much more inspirational and powerful without the self-centeredness. I doubt Brian will ever change this… but letting everyone know I find it to be over the top. The cult of Brian, combined with the complication of ancient wisdom now described with silly formulas and jargon (which Brian is happy to say are tattooed over his body) muddles - rather than activates - these timeless human principles. But for a monthly (or discounted annual fee or a crowdfund investment!) Brian can show you the way.

Instead of letting big tech hack your attention span how about using big tech to hack yourself for optimal performance? This app developed by Meta for the Heroic community does exactly that. And if you don’t know what Heroic is you should…consider this your invitation. Ready to flourish?

In general I am not a big “fan” of apps… preferring to use my mobile device as a telephone and a laptop for nearly everything else. However not only am I a fan of the Heroic app but a “raving” fan. Why do I say that? Because, slowly but surely, by using it on a daily basis, I’ve noticed positive changes in my mind, body & spirit. For me the Heroic app has is not just a game changer it’s a Life Changer! Get it and use it - you will not regret it .

I feel like I’ve got a number of things pretty dialed in but this app and Brian Johnson’s philosophy has just about ALL OF IT dialed!! There’s times where I’ll be thinking of a concept and then it will come up in the app in such a perfectly and well thought out way. I’m VERY GRATEFUL I bought this app and use it every day.

I joined what was then called Optimize 4+ years ago. As someone who has an insatiable curiosity to answer the question of “what can I DO to improve every moment of my life”, I’ve looked at A LOT of resources before finding Optimize/Heroic and since. There’s nothing else I have found that even holds a candle to the depth and comprehensiveness of what can be found in this app. Plus, the enthusiasm expressed by Brian, Alexandra and Michael is also not reproducible. If you go all in on this, it simply isn’t possible that your life won’t change.

After just 3 days of watching Basic Training I have already had success with putting my phone down at night instead of mindlessly scrolling for an hour or more, then being tired in the morning. Can’t wait to see what other changes come over time.

This app and those who created and run it are among the wisest, kindest, brightest beings on the planet. The intent is literally create a better world one day and person at a time and they’re not kidding! I am a better person and motivated to keep on living more and more in alignment with my highest self because of Heroic. As a life long learner and lover of knowledge I am constantly amazed and could not be more grateful for the tools I am integrating into my life.
