Inboxes are typically an intertwined mess of new and old messages haphazardly mixed together. Yuck. With HEY, new messages are always grouped together at the top, and previously seen emails are always at the bottom. Neat and orderly by default. No need to wade through the inbox jungle with a machete.

Let's say you have 7 unread emails. Why do you have to open one, close one, open one, close one, open one, close one, and so on. It's rediculously inefficient. Finally email is interesting. Especially the ability to block completely senders is very useful . Some comments/requests: when sharing a web page the site’s title is copied on the email’s text and not on the title will be nice to be able to merge contacts from the list of contacts have the option to filter out specific contacts from the auto-fill when creating a new email
An email client that makes you smile
I love how the Basecamp team managed to bring back joy to email. I don’t dread opening up my email anymore. I’m in control of who sends me emails, and I’m not worried anymore about people snooping if I opened my email or not. I love it’s simplicity, there is some functionality missing e.g calendar integration etc. But hey Rome wasn’t built in a day... I’m curious to see what’s next in the roadmap by this incredible team.
Now I love email again.

A relief
Have used it for a week and absolutely love it. Wish Apple would approve the updated app with bugfixes. Basecamp really has reinvented email with this project! Yes, mr. Schiller. It works!
It’s great but odds are it’s not for you
This is a complete rethink of how email should work. It’s not a thin veneer over gmail, this is something new. From filtering out noise to working with individual notifications. This is a calming email environment. Odds are it’s not for you. But when it is, it is what you were missing all along.

Basecamp did an amazing job at building Hey. Email is notoriously hard to get right, and only a company of truly passionate and principled professionals could fix it.
