Good concept, much room for improvement
I like the general concept and some features like bundling emails from one sender have become essential to me.
However, there are some flaws and the service has not improved much in the years since its release. The app is quite slow, having to wait for every email to load when you open it feels ancient (even when offline saving is enabled).
The HEY menu is quite clunky on mobile. No badge indicator on how many unread emails you have. A lot of it feels like the mobile version is clearly an afterthought.
Multiple custom domains
A premium service like this needs to support multiple custom domains. It doesn’t.
Used to love this until..
I used to love this app until my card expired and the renewal payment failed. With no notification or anything they froze me out of my account on mobile until I could log in on desktop and add a new payment method. As I didn’t have my laptop with me I couldn’t access crucial emails when I needed them. No warning, no notification, no ability to fix things from just the app. Terrible service.
They track everything I do inside the app and outside of it with Cookies
I was thinking of paying the annual subscription because I like the concept and some of the features, but within the terms and conditions I discovered that 37Signal has access to everything I do inside and outside the app through its own and third-party cookies, they analyze the information, etc. It loses all the sense of paying for an email account, google does the same thing as Hey only that Hey charges for it in addition to obtaining my data.
Das 2 Apps Problem
Hey finde ich vom Prinzip und vom Funktionsumfang sehr gut.
Nach der Testphase habe ich mich dennoch gegen ein Abo entschieden, da alle meine alten (vor allem geschäftliche) Mails nicht in Hey zu importieren sind.
Daher bliebe das 2 Apps Problem um weiterhin Zugriff auf alte Emails zu behalten.

Gewechselt von Outlook zu Front und nun gelandet bei HEY - and i am here to stay! Sehr angenehmer Workflow, endlich macht E-Mail (im Team) Spaß.
Für gute Software muss man zahlen
Dies ist eine wirklich großartige E-Mail-Software. Überaus durchdacht und mit vielen smarten Lösungen, wie z.B. den Newsfeed oder den Ordner für langweiligen Papierkram. Das wird lässig aussortiert und spamt einem nicht in die Inbox voll.
Die Entwickler haben sich wirklich Gedanken gemacht und klug umgesetzt. Hier wird man nicht ausgeforscht, niemand liest mit und sie ist werbefrei. Allein das sollte einem schon die paar Euro pro Monat wert sein.
Sehr durchdachter E-Mail-Workflow, tolle App.
Hey ist mehr als nur eine schöne, neue Oberfläche für E-Mails. Mit dem von Hey-Workflow lernt man E-Mails wieder neu zu schätzen und schafft Ordnung wo andere Apps und Services nur den Status-Quo unterstützen. Es braucht etwas Zeit sich daran zu gewöhnen, aber es lohnt sich uneingeschränkt.

I don’t get the point
All the hype and the high price, yet I can’t find a single compelling reason to use Hey, neither for personal nor business purposes. I just don’t get it.
