HOW WE MANAGE TRUE-DEPTH FACE DATA

Hyperspektiv utilizes Apple's Augmented Reality APIs (specifically ARKit & TrueDepth) in order to provide filters that react intelligently to people's bodies. On newer devices, in selfie mode, this requires that we use ARKit's Face Tracking mode.

We do not utilize your True Depth face data, nor do we store it anywhere. The only data used is the outline of your body, so we can apply filters to it.

Was wonderful

This app used to be one of the best on the market. It’s awful now & lacking basic features unless you’re willing to spend a huge amount. Such a shame. Steer clear.

Great effects!

Superb app, I’m using it to animate my designs from a photo to a moving video, then export and reimport to add additional layers, find your own way to use it and it is an excellent creative tool! 5 out of 5, nothing matches the quality of this, other apps I’ve tried are inferior!

Cool stuff

This app inspired me to make a lot of really cool stuff, and I mean really cool stuff. Please, add an ability to play with filters (when working with video files) in real time whilst exporting video (just like you can do with photos).

It used to be good until they forced subscription

I wouldn’t have bought the app originally if I’d known it would force you to subscribe. Bad practice to remove features for people who have already paid for them.

My favourite app by far

This app is endlessly creative. I can’t thank the creators enough for helping me bring MY creations to life in this way. I love the wildcard filter that you can save when you come across one that hits right. I also really enjoy the editing function so you can tweak the filters exactly how you want them. I have started using this on my Instagram & the response I get is phenomenal. People are constantly asking me how I make my artwork. I’ve had to start tagging Hyperspektiv to save on my admin!! I love you. Thank you

Do not update the app

It’s completely gone, one of my fav app now is not working anymore 😔

UPDATED: NEW PRICE UNACCEPTABLE

Sadly, I cannot recommend this app any more. The £35 ($50) per year is CRAZY. £20 would’ve still been high but worth it to some - including me. If the developer lowered the price the subscription rate would go up and the app would be more successful by being more accessible. Original review below: Subscription price is fair for decent video filters - best I’ve found. So far I subscribe for the odd month as and when I need it but will probably get a years sub if it adds the ability to select components to make my own custom filters, as opposed to the random wildcard generator (which is great but I’d like more flexibility). I don’t know if that’s possible but if it is it would make the app more popular. 4K output and increased bit rate is to be applauded. This app produces such distinct, interesting visual effects that I am using it on professional projects. Thanks to all the team for setting the standard.

Often doesn’t link to camera

I’m on an iPhone 7 Plus and more often than not now I open this app and it won’t show image from either camera. iOS is up to date. No other apps open. Restart phone. Tried all that.

Greedy Devs

If these devs insist on charging a sub for their apps why not make it a reasonable price?.?? Ridiculous

Good app ruined.

Another one of those apps that force you into buying a subscription...
