I have been a Visio user for many years and this app has now become my favourite. On my iPad Pro 10.4 with a pen it has now replaced my sketch pad. I am thinking that on an iPad Pro 12.9 this would be incredible. Import and export format is limited so the developers probably need to think about that in future releases to make the THE goto CAD tool for the iPad.

Best toolset I have seen in iOS. Numerical input if you want so you can be very precise. I used to use Macromedia Freehand once so after a little orientation I was away with iDesign.
I do most of my CAD work on a 27 inch 4K monitor, so have been unimpressed by iOS apps so far. iDesign has changed my opinion. This app is truly useful as long as you keep your work simple. Away from my desktop I can do quick and accurate layouts, manual nesting, trial geometries, machining diagrams and the like. Even on the iPhone this is app is useful. Editing handles on points keeps your finger from blocking the view. On iPad Pro with Pencil it's a treat. Sure some things are missing (automatic fillets/chamfers, direct mirroring come to mind) but you can manually achieve these operations. The app also treats the y axis as positive downwards, and at this stage won't accept negative delta values which is a bit strange. Snaps are limited to crs, endpoints and grid, but work well. There are limited CAD import/export formats (SVG only) Take time to read the manual, it really helps. Most things you need are there. Highly recommended, they have done a great job.
It took me a while to learn the features of this app, but it was well worth it.
Once you get use to it, not too bad, but crashes sometimes after pushing undo button a couple of times, also doesn't always select and draw lines, prefers to move the hole screen around rather than draw lines so need to keep tapping on the function you want in order to achieve it. But definitely a lot of potential .
I have tried a few other drawing apps, this one seems to be best suited to my needs so far. Reasonably quick to learn, and the functionality is good. Have had a couple of crashes/freezes, but the auto save feature means that this is only a minor inconvenience. Could use improvements in the export function, however. Upload to Dropbox, or send to other apps would be helpful. And since I'm suggesting improvements, the ability for exaggerated horizontal and vertical scales, as well as the ability to customize the ruler would make this app perfect for producing engineering sketches. Worth the money. I also bought the two add-ons.
Crashing on iPad 2
The app developer is really working hard to make this one of the best drawing apps for iPad. I have been a heavy Visio user and was looking for something similar. I tried several of the other more expensive drawing apps, but they always left me wanting my mouse and keyboard as it would have been faster. This is the best app I have found so far to draw using the iPad's touch interface.
