iDesign is available as a monthly or yearly subscription and includes a free trial period that begins once your purchase has been confirmed with your Apple ID account. At the end of the trial your subscription will start and renew automatically. Your Apple ID account will be charged for the upcoming period unless you disable auto-renew or cancel your subscription in your Account Settings at least 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.

Disappointed

Very disappointed to see that this has become a subscription service. I have enjoyed this app on and off since my original purchase but It is too limited and I just don’t use it enough to warrant a subscription. Worse of all I now cannot continue to work on my last project or indeed access the features that I originally paid for. My bad for updating without reading the description first!

Is this legal?

As so many have commented, used the app happily for years (having bought it), I can no longer use it due to the forced subscription model. I hope the business fails.

I am going to complain about this app

I purchased this app and paid full price and used before. Now suddenly they changed the app payments to subscription and stopped me using it. This is illegal, i reported it to Apple and if Apple did not deal with it I will complain to trading standards in the UK.

I can’t believe it is now a subscription app You should allow a older version that is not supported so people can keep editing there work

Cheeky Buggers - Now want paying for an upgrade

It would have been nice to have been asked if I wanted a paid for upgrade. I bought this app and have numerous designs which I can no longer modify. I don’t disagree with you for charging for the upgrade but it would have been better to have the choice wether to upgrade or not. How do I go back to the previous version?

I started using this when it was first launched. It was way ahead of its game and I found it most useful but clumsy. I haven’t used it in over 2 years and wished to return to a project I was working on only to find I now have to pay for it. I have lost all my work and I don’t even get the opportunity to try the new version and see if it’s worth the money. To say I am not happy is an understatement and furious that I have to now pay to hopefully get MY work back that I produced. What happens next year when they want more money and lock your work. Not a good way to gain confidence from customers.

Pay a month on a previously bought app

I bought this app years back and now I can’t use it unless I pay a whacking subscription. Ain’t gonna happen. Totally unjustifiable rate of subscription. Yes, I could pay something for new updates but not to even have that option and the fact I bought this app so just stop me getting updates if I don’t pay. Developers greed sold our. Deleting

Best Design App for the IPad.

Brilliant design app, capable of anything you want to design, house improvement/extensions, furniture layout, solar panel layout, anything. Plus the support from Samson is quick, accurate and friendly.

Very glitchy

Started out ok, but now it’s crashing all the time. Frankly I want my money back

Broken and incomplete

App closes when you click undo about 50% of the time leading to loss of work, grid reset. Baffling. No clip tool? Simple tasks seem convoluted. Buggy. Functions are counter intuitive. Just not good.
