IDrive Online Backup

Provides no way to upload files to the IDrive app. In iOS files, everything under IDrive is read-only. This didn’t used to be the case. There’s no longer any way to get files to the IDrive from an iPad or iPhone.

My phone gets really warm when running a backup and it’s really slow.

Of course! What else could explain the extended delay?

Why are my photos blurry? I really hope this is temporary. I just updated, they weren't blurry before the update

IDrive sets up a number of hurdles to get going, then randomly stops working on windows. The iOS app does not update what it shows if you are ever able to upload files. Good luck trusting it with your data on windows or iOS. Customer support does not reply to resolve errors

How to use?

It is good as fast to back up,but is not very use friendly to retrieve files or add devices like IPad Pro.

I like iDrive, it definitely could use some improvements in user friendliness but I find this app is not efficient and doesn’t show all the backed up files I can see on my Mac or by using Safari to sign in. Until the app is improved, I feel like I’m wasting time trying to use it.

I bought additional storage on iDrive, although I have bought more storage than I could possibly use on iCloud. My reason for this is redundancy, and I am sick and tired of losing stored data when I backup, backup, and backup, and still lose data no matter how much redundancy I pay for. iDrive is a total pain, like when I tried to backup the 32,000 photos on my iPhone camera roll. First of all, I AM REQUIRED TO PUT A CHECK MARK ON ALL 32,000 photos, or they won’t backup: BUT MORE UNREASONABLE IS THEIR REQUIREMENT THAT I CAN’T USE ANY OTHER APPS OR ANSWER THE PHONE, THE BACKUP STOPS!!! THIS IS A GARBAGE PRODUCT!!!! THERE IS NO 10 HOUR BLOCK OF ANY DAY I CAN DEVOTE TO DATA BACKUP SO I CAN TOUCH NO OTHER APPS ON MY PHONE!! God, I want so much to love iOS, and the limitations on the platform are maddening. It is an operating system for light users. PERIOD!!
