I have just cancelled my trial subscription. In addition to features not working seamlessly with other programs or not working at all, there are issues with response time.
I don’t write reviews. But I’ve been using Informant since 2011, when it was called Pocket Informant. I always say that if something happened to this app, I would simply cease to exist. It is the most important app on my phone. It contains my life. Every event and task. If the owners even consider end of life, I would try to buy it and run it myself. I simply couldn’t live without it.
Been using this calendar for years and helps me keep everything straight. love the free version, but I’m thinking of upgrading since I love it so much.
Weather doesn’t load anymore. Please fix!!
I purchased pocket informant on July 31, 2010 for $5.99 on the Apple Store. I still have the receipt. What I purchased is not a subscription but an ownership of the app for life. Since then the developer has ceased to offer this product on the Apple Store and replaced it with a new subscription based product. I have no problem with this. I have no expectation of getting any revisions or new products for free. What I do have a problem with is when I downloaded the new product to demo it it crippled my old product I had purchased so I can no longer use it and there is no process to restore it. This is very unethical and probably illegal. I complained to Apple Media and Software Department and they agreed with me. Despite numerous attempts to reach out to the company using their support page and by messenger they have not responded.
Had to drop this app. Hated to do it but it just stopped syncing and dropped all of my other calendars.
I want to like Informant. I started using it when it was Pocket Informant back on a PocketPC and nothing else could touch it back then. I keep coming back to try it again periodically, but… I have a couple things I need to do and Informant apparently doesn’t support them. First, I can’t enable/disable calendars on Apple Watch. I have a couple of calendars that I use strictly for home automations and I DON’T want the tasks to clutter up my watch view. Informant on Apple Watch shows everything, whether you want it or not. Second, I’d like to be able to sort tasks by project and again, apparently I can’t. Third, I’ve tried to contact support several times and gotten zero response, other than a boilerplate “we’ll get back to you in X days”. Not even a “we’re sorry, but we don’t support that functionality at this time. We’ll pass it up the food chain to consider it in the future.” Disappointing, because Informant otherwise has a lot going for it.
No changes, not using. Dropped it a another star. Still no travel time. Don’t know why, but this app has stalled for way too long. Previously: I used this App for many years. It was my go too App for all Calendar issues. They were beat out. The competition has one feature that I rely on daily, IOS Travel Time. The competing Apps even let you change your starting location on IOS so you can figure travel time from one appointment to the next. It's unfortunate that one feature knocked them out of the running for me. But, I'm only one person. (TODOIST or Ticktick integration would be nice. Dropped a Star) as
Wonderful app that my wife and I use.
