Insta360 ONE X

Beautifully designed app on the surface but can’t rate the function sinne it is not possible to connect the way the app describes. I have a Insta360 One X2 snd an iPhone 11 Pro Max. I Follow instructions to the letter even though the settings are dated and do not match the cameras menues at all. Camera found in the wifi settings on phone, adds password by itself. The app can see the camera and I confirm connection on the insta. So far so good, all downhill from here. The app sees the camera and tries to Connect but gives up an leads you two a 3 sted menu which suggests how you set up the wifi (which is already set up correctly). From there on no connection. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling 4 times. Tried to locate a wifi menu on the Insta as the app suggests, but there is none. Life is too short to waste time like this.

When it works, the camera delivers decent video but too many malfunctions. The app itself has a bad design, its very focused on marketing and there own social media society. Very poor editing abilities and the connection to the camera is unstable. To work well you need a remote to be able to control the camera and this connection is even more unstable. To summarize: good idea with fairly decent lenses, but software issues ruins the user experience

Why is this app sending so many notifications. It’s a app to take photos not a spam bot!

Have a few problems freezing up but apart from that works great on both Samsung S8+ and apple iPad mini 4

iPad 9th generation won’t connect to the camera. The app locks up when the connect button is displayed and freezes. Even if the camera is already connected via Wi-Fi.

Ever since the new update, whenever I’m editing a video it is not saving every thing that I edit. If I delete an edit it doesn’t delete even though the marker is not there. If I close the edit and re-open the video the market reappears. This is pissing me off.

When I purchased the Insta360, the app connected great and playback was smooth. However, recent updates are terrible. The playback is so bad, it doesn’t always connect and it’s so frustrating! I am even using new iPhone 12 Max and the new iPad Air. Unreal.

This developer spends more effort delivering you ads and "buy more of our stuff" messaging than making this clumsy and unreliable app better. I've had a One X since it launched several years ago and this app has hardly improved since.

The other app for all insta cameras connects without any issue but the UX is horrendous there. This one won’t connect.
