Actually started using Mastodon because of ivory since their own interface is trash, just like twitter.

Stale UX overpriced

Using Tweetbot ui and ux but charging hefty money for incomplete, feature deficient version. With Twitter they blamed API restrictions and with Mastodon there is no limit yet this app doesn’t give anything different than standard free mastodon clients.

Best ever mastodon experience you can get

10 years of experience in building Tweetbot helps here. Even though it says early access but it brings all new, faster mastodon experience for you. Be sure to checkout All the things related to filter and customisations. Love the app icon, icons used in the apps and over all design and ux.

The UI truly couldn't be better and the compatibility is so higher than the other clients.

My favorite Mastodon client by far, with fantastic support from the developers. I had a problem that turned out to be unique to my instance, and Paul took the time to investigate and suggest a (correct!) solution. Worth every penny.

Not working!

This app is not working either! Not finding the server.🙄

Slick interface

Ivory has a slick interface that clearly makes good use of caching. It’s sleek as well: it puts all the stuff the web site has in a more useable layout but with short animations that make it fun to use. So far, all the features of the web site appear to be present including Explore, which I’ve seen some other clients exclude.

Best Mastodon Client

Before Elon Musk ruined Twitter, in part by eliminating third-party apps, I was a big fan of Tweetbot. After the Twitter-pocalypse, I stayed away from social media for awhile (except for Reddit), until I found out that most of the tech folks I enjoyed following had moved over to Mastodon. There are a variety of apps for accessing the network including a native app, Mona, Ice Cubes, Mammoth and Radiant but the one I chose was Ivory for Mastodon by Tapbots, the same developers behind Tweetbot.
