Just Run is a simple workout app to help you get running. I made this app to get myself off the couch and start running to get to 5K. Stick to the workout plan, and you'll be able to run 5K in 9 weeks. It really does work!
If you're already able to run 5K, Just Run also has a 6-week plan to help you get up to 10K!
WORKOUT PLANS:
- Zero to 5K: Gets you from absolute zero running experience to 5K in just 9 weeks, with three 30-minute workouts per week
- 5K to 10K: If you can already run 5K, or have finished Zero to 5K, this plan gets you to 10K in only 6 weeks
FEATURES:
- Target dates for each workout, calculated based on your progress, and optimal exercise days
- Choose from multiple trainer voices, which tell you exactly when to run and walk
- No ads! Ads are no fun, so Just Run has no ads!
- Works with music, audiobook and podcast apps - Just Run will briefly lower the volume of the other app when prompting you to run and walk, so you'll never miss a prompt
- Runs in the background. Turn off your screen, or switch to another app, and you'll still hear the run and walk prompts
- Upgrade to Premium to get more trainer voices, multiple theme options, and to support continued development of Just Run

Finally a running app where all health features are free by default, you only need to pay if you want some design features. The runs are totally realistic for a total novice to get started. This app helped me get from 0 to 5K in 9 weeks in a smooth way.

Very simple, but does what it should! Really appreciate that this is actually free with only an optional one-time paid upgrade for cosmetics. All the other apps are paywalled and this is just great.

I’m in my running girl era and let me tell you it is changing my life. I’ve never been an endurance runner, and I always found it difficult but this app has been helping me so much by timing the intervals and prompting runs and walks. Im honestly surprised at how much progress I’ve made and the runs just get easier and easier. It’s such a straightforward app, which I so appreciate. No marketing, no ads. I look forward to going on my runs. I paid for premium to support the developer (thanks Gary!!) and I’m aiming to run a 5k in the next couple of months. Wish me luckkkkk~

Finding apps that don’t bombard me with subscription fees and ads (not to mention bells and whistles I don’t need or want) has gotten to be a rarity. I am trying to tackle my health and the other popular running apps have been ruined with ads and monthly fees that rival Netflix. Why?! I went on one run with this app and it was everything I wanted. Told me when to run, when to walk, and let me listen to my audiobook along the way. It’s not fancy, but I also didn’t need it to be. If I continue to have a good experience, I will pay for premium to support the developer.

A beginner who thought running was impossible. Currently on week 8 & just ran a 5k(a week ahead of the goal!) Great hands-free app as you get a voice telling you when to start and stop running. Also, you don’t have to upgrade but I did at week 5 bc of how much progress I made and wanted to support the creator. Only downside would be I don’t know about a 5k in 30 minutes by the end of the program. I just ran my 5k in 37 minutes. Progress nonetheless, but you may need to work on pace separately. I’ll be starting the 5-10k program too.

I am a beginner runner and haven’t run since high school track. I’m 28 now with goals to be able to run a 5k. I’ve never been a distance runner and these workouts make it very attainable. I’m at the three week mark, and I’m so excited to complete this training and move onto the 10k program! I like that this app is so simple, there’s no fluff, and I still feel motivated.
