I don’t want much out of this app, just reading an ebook bundle I got without knowing it was on kobo.
Each time I app switch the app does a whole flash of white and brings ui elements back in one by one, as if on an eink display. It’s an annoying visual glitch that doesn’t happen in any other ereader I’m using, making this my least favorite one.
Terrible cannot clear Home Screen of all the junk!
Help!
They won’t stop charging me.
The stories are not the worst but they aren’t the best. i got the free trial and it won’t stop trying to charge me. I have locked my card and blocked kobo from trying to charge me but it still does every morning. I have deleted my account multiple times which never actually works.
Kobo review
I love Kobo. They have a great selection of audiobooks and I can listen, playback, and checkout as many as I want. The only bad thing about Kobo is how addictive it is. The platform is awesome and is well priced compared to other more expensive platforms I’ve come across.
CONFUSED
I’m confused. I’ve had Kobo for a few years now. I’ve purchased A LOT of books, and had them in my library. I’ve not gone on the app for a bit, until recently. My books are GONE. I didn’t delete ANY of them. I got on kobo.com and found them and supposedly restored them. I went back on the app to read, and they’re not there! I turned the phone off and on and nothing. I deleted the app and put it back on, and still NOTHING. This is very frustrating. This is NOT the first time this has happened with Kobo!!!! Why does Kobo take it upon themselves to delete purchases!?!? If this isn’t resolved, I will delete the app and just stick to Kindle, where they at least leave your purchases ALONE!
UI is absolutely awful.
It shouldn’t be complicated to find books you OWN. Kobo has an atrocious User Interface. Whoever designed this took no liberty to test their design. Absolutely awful layout.
Horrible UX
Once you sign up, you can’t figure out how to find books. You can’t figure out how to use your points. (On the app or on the web.) And if you sign out your points disappear.
Where i left off jumps around
As i am reading a comic book, ill end and when i pick back up, it seemingly jumps me ahead by many pages. But fortunately the proper book leaving point is still there. Annoying that I have to go back to where I was and not just pick up.
Get ready to have your account deleted!
I have books on several digital services. I don't check them to make sure they are still there. Apparently my Kobo account no longer exists because I didn't log in often enough. I am really glad that I only purchased a few books with them. I guess that I will repurchase them with a more reliable service.
