Kobo Books

One of my favorite actors in my all time favorite TV show. Excellent!

I’m raring to read on my new device but I cannot even figure out how to add it book to my collection. Much less, read it on my new and expensive device.

I just started using the app after purchasing a collection of TMNT comic books. I initially liked the reader, but now it drives me up a wall. Whenever I open one of my books, I may or may not get the page that I last read. Sometimes the app will jump back 20 or 30 pages. It leaves a marker of where I was approximately so with some scanning I can find my place. I would hate to do that with a traditional book.

Whenever I make a new purchase, the new books don’t appear right away until I sign out then sign back in. Sync between different devices is horrible and does not update my progress.

I wish I didn’t have to use this app in order to view my downloaded book from FNAC.

After minimizing the app and coming back, even after just a few seconds, my place in a book will randomly jump pages, sometimes back to the beginning sometimes 200 pages ahead. Testing this by minimizing/opening the app a few times can cause the app to crash as well. Impossible to use.

I’ve tried adding Kobo Plus books through the app, but they don’t show up. When I log on through the browser, it says that they are in my library. Because they don’t show up on the app, I’m unable to access them. Syncing between the app and the reader are also a joke. Grrr…

Moving page to page is not seamless, which in a reader app it’s a huge feature and very annoying when is faulty. The Home Screen doesn’t update as described, and more than half of it is taken up by their Kobo Reader advertising. Again annoying when I'm paying for a Plus subscription. I expected more functionality from this app. It does have a decent selection of books
