Hearthstone is better
Whatsoever, and it’s really boring to play a muted game. Sorry, nothing I tried fixed it.
I could see what’s going on in this game. I play hearthstone a lot and have put a lot of money in that. I can actually see what happens in hearthstone (bigger cards, bigger text, cards stay longer on screen, seeing history of events is bigger and more clear). Everything about understanding and seeing what happens when you play they game is better in hearthstone. I can’t play this until the game is playable on mobile. Right now it only fit my 27” screen. Playing on a iPhone 12 mini and would need at least a big iPad to be played comfortably. Will update score when fixed.
Have really fun playing this game, compared to hearthstone this is by far the greater game and the cost model where u dont get ruined is plus. Keep at it RIOT :)
It is a fun game and it is easy to get the Cards you want for a free player. It have a very fun game mode called Lab of Legends that gives you a fun and hard experience against bots where you build your deck on the run. You get power ups and upgrade your cards for that game. You can play a similar game mode against players to if you don’t find the bots beatable.
LoR features the stack from magic, and an interesting take on the highest rarity of card: champions. The app and free-to-play model works excellent, no complaints. However, the game itself is rather flawed. Most if not all decks are built around control, and denying the enemy what they want to do. The counter spell/deny card is cheap with no constraints, and is a simple way of stopping whatever your enemy builds up to doing. Frostbite-based being one of the most prevalent decks, half the games you play you find yourself with minions and champions that simply cannot do anything because they have 0 attack - unless you build to counter this specifically. Denying your opponent what they want to do simply through putting a stop to what they are doing, is and will always be the worst game mechanic in any ever, and it requires heaps of finesse and variation to be interesting. LoR features tons of opportunities to build and execute a game plan greater that that of your opponent, but with the opportunity to simply deny the opponent their game plan, that will in many cases not be necessary. And so the game revolves not around the awesome combos, but around the all-too-efficient counters.
Combat system, animations, art, lore. Everything is superior to the precious card games that I’ve played before. Also business model. You can pay for just cosmetics and you can choose which one to buy! No more of those loot boxes! You can even buy the exact card you need if/when you want! No need to buy ridiculously overpriced packs and pray to get your legendary card or at least enough dust to craft it! Keywords can be a bit overwhelming but there are in game tutorials which grant both exp and knowledge of the keywords too. Sorry for the wall of text, but if you like card games or want to try one, I suggest you try this one!
