LibriVox Audio Books

You can get all books ad free from the official librivox.org website and import them into your favourite podcast app using the RSS link.

Love Librivox, so many great books read by amazing people. This app is actually not bad - some of the options are a bit hidden, the amount of ads is too big, and the design is a bit old fashioned, but everything you need is there.

About 2 out of 5 times when I start the app, an invisible ad starts playing in the background. It doesn’t go away. It just keeps playing. I paid for monthly subscription thinking it will go away but it didn’t. So I’m instead buying the paid version as this is still an awesome and affordable app.

until May 2022 the app worked flawlessly. Now the app keeps crashing after a few minutes of listening. makes no difference whether book is downloaded or not

Have been able to read so many classics because of this app and the readers. Books that I had not heard of or that I wanted to read but would never have gotten around to.

I love LibriVox, but this app has too many ads, including audio ads interrupting books. There are better free and some ad free librivox players on the App Store which are far more relaxed without excessive ads. LibriVox books are read for free by volunteers and I believe this app is not in the free spirit of the platform.

Great, more ads in the new update, and the app, especially the scrolling, is much slower and more jerky. I wish it would have said that in the update info. Sleep timer will not stay visible when coming back form a different screen, still no in app volume control, and playback will stop when exiting playback window. All in all, quite a clumsy app, but hey, it's free.

I enjoy listening LibriVox audiobooks. I wish they also have latest books.
