Latest update just crashes upon launching
This app used to be my favourite light meter, but seeing as the app hasn’t been updated to iOS 16, it doesn’t even open. Maybe it’ll get updated soon and I’ll use it again. Edit: after reinstalling the app, it works again!
This Lightmeter is extremely sophisticated with a range of excellent modes including whole scene (matrix?) meeting as well as resizeable spot measurement, multiple spot averaging and (my favourite feature) zone system selection, take a spot measurement then place it on a given zone (so cool). Also enables selection of both colour and black and white pre visualisation with associated film format and linked focal length field of view. I LOVE it
The developer really seems to have thought of everything. I tried a lot of other metering apps which did some things but this one really does the lot in a very tidy package. ND correction, reciprocity failure correction for many films, low light metering, user definable aperture and more. Well worth reading through the tips as if you think it doesnt do what you want you will probably find it does. Top marks to the developer and well worth donating to support him.
Just got my first two films shot using this App back from development and it looks to have got the exposures spot on.
Causing phone to get incredibly hot. Can’t change any settings. Can’t even click the gear icon to access settings but ads still work
I downloaded this app because I didn’t have a handheld light meter for when I was out shooting film. This app has saved my skin more than once whilst out on a shoot!
Really quick and easy to use meter. Also rather lovely looking as well!
I was very to happy to find this as it’s exactly what I wanted! Set your ISO (or film!), choose if you want any Exposure Comp, then when you measure (with a range of modes) you can see a full Exposure Value chart. I haven’t seen another app do this in such a simple, elegant way. Cheers Giuseppe!
