BEWARE
As a user of neo I was keen to try this app on my iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 17.5.1). The app took my payment but did not give access just showing the payment screen every time. There was no response when contacting support about this.

Owner and user of Lightroom/photoshop desktop. Of which both give you access to the mobile versions for free. Owner of Luminar 4 and Luminar Neo, yet you also want me to pay for the mobile app?? Sorry but I’m afraid I’m jumping off this cash cow called Luminar!
On the surface, it looks to have some decent uses.. but it’s painfully slow. confusing UI, huge torches in one corner and a weird, tiny scroll wheel on the left.. not great so far.. :-(
App doesn't even have a free basic edit to try. You need to accept a trial since the beginning if you just wanna try. Then you have to remember to cancel the trial if you don't wanna be charged. Deleted...
As a long time Lightroom user, there are many things I like and dislike about the app. Seeing all the reviews about the Luminar desktop application, which looks amazing, so I was excited to see this come to mobile, with a great price tag. After using the application for a few days, I really like the photo filters that can be applied with the amount you desire. The sky replacement looks incredible, although I haven't really used it. Relight is the best thing this application does, especially for portraits. Enhance AI does something to the image that I don't understand, but looks great. The things I do not like is that the sliders need more space to move, for example the Blacks, Whites, Shadows and Highlight sliders. When selecting a crop option, the crop is in portrait and not landscape, when working on a landscsape image. The remove tool doesn't work so great in my experience. The things I miss from Lightroom are, images stored in the application, so you can go back to an edit, instead of a one time edit. HSL sliders. Masking. Optics to remove chromatic aberrations and lens correction. The one thing that would make this app useful for me, is Presets, so if I am editing a set of images, I can apply the same look. I have also noticed that the application is very wearing on the battery, after editing 4 images, my battery life went down drasically. I will not be continuing to use this application, but I will be keeping an eye out on future updates as I have loved using Relight, which is the best feature of this application.
It’s a really great photo editing app with lots of powerful AI features, however sometimes it’s hit or a miss when saving my photos after editing. I keep getting this very strange artefacts on my skies and other parts of the image on some of my saved edited photos . Over all I give 4 starts for its powerful AI features and ease of use
You should offer the ability to buy it same as Luminar neo for desktop computer… We all know subscription was you plan from the get go. Clearly Luminar Neo couldn’t be fully switched due to initial promises, so you had to make sure all new AI updates would only go the subscription users even though you promised free updates and new features, which unfortunately you found your sneaky ways to get users to have to pay to access them.
There isn't any option to edit the image files metadata to add a title, keywords, location etc & importantly all the copyright information. It's currently better to use Adobe Lightroom. Please add edit metadata feature.
True to form for Skylum, the software is slow. Really basic control is lacking, like channel mixing, etc. I can’t believe there is only an option to save a flattened file or cancel changes. No way to save mid edit for refinement later that I can see…very very odd. No batch settings, nothing. It’s a fair bit worse than the already lacklustre desktop app, if you’re a photographer. No doubt they’re after the instagram crowd here, but photographers, it’s a waste of time.
Some great controls for image editing, could do with gradient and radial masks though. There are two things that make this unusable. 1. There is no way to save your edits 2. Image export is broken, both save image and share image result in the same 1 megapixel image, despite one being for a large version, both options are exactly the same I suspect a broken build was uploaded and there may be a patch on its way, with that being said I cannot recommend it currently as the app is not working as it should do.
