Unplayable
Both me and my partner have been trying to play this game on our respective phones for over an hour and have barely made it past part three and four in the tutorial. Laggy game moves for both you and the opponent, cards stacking on top of each other without being able to see any information, pieces meshing into one another, and just all around disappointing. We are new to the MTG world and had hopes of learning through this app as it was recommended by others. Sad to say that this is not what we hoped for.
Buggy and broken
I just downloaded this and the intro tutorials crash after the 3rd match and then the app sits at loading screen whenever you try to restart it. The tutorial challenge UI bugs out after a few hands have been played and it becomes impossible to select anything on the screen. Absolute trash.
Broken game
Unable to pass the tutorial. Try to play cards and they get stuck graphically in the middle of the screen, not on the battlefield. Scenarios try to continue going but you are unable to target the creature that the tutorial is trying to force you to target, game glitches out and you lose. Small indie company, but still.
Do not spend money
They have the worst rng for card draw and unbalanced gameplay you will get mana flooded or mana screwed 7 out of 10 games
Besides the tutorial, I’m having a blast.
I will say that I did have issues getting through the tutorial Doodoo server or lag issues I don’t know. But once I got through to that and most of the options in the game opened up, I’ve had zero issues. I’ve been playing on a iPhone 15 Pro Max and an M4 iPad Pro with no issues since the tutorial I mentioned. Also, yes, if you want to have good decks from the very start, you will need to spend money. Whether that be buying one of the physical sets that they have in stores that come with arena codes or buying one of the mini bundles they have for new players to begin collecting cards. They give you numerous starter decks to choose from and use as much as you like and also I got to open numerous card packs from many expansions once I completed the tutorial for free. I’m not saying the game is perfect, but if you are looking for a good dense fun card game to play I would choose this over many of the alternatives.
Bugs bugs and more bugs
This game has more bugs than a $500 a month apartment in Los Angeles
Broken tutorial
Cards in the tutorial get stuck in the animation where they come out onto the battlefield and just stack on top of each other. I can’t complete the tutorial so I can’t even play the game
Poor optimization
Hard to play consistently get card stuck in the middle of the screen and freezing
Lame
Turns are way too long! Players sit and wait for people to quit before finishing a turn or will just sit and wait for the long timer. Way too long of time to pick your cards.
