There used to be 4 places around my work (one of the main business areas in London) and now there’s 1 place. Also absolutely nothing in south west London so no point in this app really unless you like eating the same thing every day.

They charged me every time after a trip abroad or after a Covid lockdown when I resumed my account after I had put it on hold previously. This app is really impractical for people who travel. I ended up spending more the choices of food are still limited and not that good in London, UK.

Followed a link on one of these offers they spam you with and ended up with -80 pounds. Avoid this app.

Lots of money/meals wasted and poor customer service. Charged me after cancelling and had to chase them for a refund. Wouldn’t recommend

Don’t use this app as they have removed the cancel plan option!!!! You can only move the hold date. I’ve been trying to cancel the app ever since the pandemic started as I’m now permanently working from home but can only move the hold date forward.

My partner has been charged full subscription fee twice in October and November. He did not receive an email that his account was being removed from hold! (which mealpal claims they did send, the mails are not even in spam) Now when he asked for a refund mealpal replied that they are refunding one month subscription amount as a first time courtesy!! This is a horrendous response! Atleast they should realize that people are working from home and might not choose to get a meal subscription! During this global pandemic everyone is being supportive, but MealPal isn’t! Very sad to see the level of cutomer service and user experience the company offers!

MealPal tipped me off. They charged me for 16 meals and I used 12 out of 16 so far. Now they closed my account and didn’t refund me the remaining 4 meals I paid for. They are forcing me to pay for another 16 meal plan to allow me use the 4 meals remaining for previous plan. What a rip-off. Never again, the worst app ever came across and very poor customer service.

They continue charging you even if you cancel your account.

The app was great when I was working in the office. Now I’m working from home and want to cancel without MealPal continuing to charge me and the app won’t allow me to have the meals I’ve already paid for and no refund. Appalling way to trap people!

Impossible to close an account / jump through so many loop holes. Restaurants in central London inadequate Customer service in the app terrible
