How much does Mela cost?
Mela has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is $6.99.
I wish there was an elegant way to swipe through the different views (Want to Cook, Recent, etc) like in Reeder (starred, unread).
Having to go to the top …. menu is clunky.

Works incredibly well with the sites I’ve tried and most importantly, it removes a LOT of resistance to making recipes for me. Having everything in one in place in a straightforward format with all of excess junk removed is soooo helpful.
Thanks for making this app!
Best app, worth every penny
This is truly such a good app, love that it syncs across devices and has a Mac version. I use it religiously. Paid for the lifetime subscription and it’s worth every penny. So easy to use. Wish the categories was multi select but that’s the only small thing.
Amazing App
This app is amazing, It is so easy to use. I have downloaded all my recipes from different websites onto it including all my handwritten recipes and now they are all organized in one place. I absolutely love it!
Une des pires app
Fonctionne a moitié…
Please add landscape recipe view!
Many things to love about this app, from the ease of importing recipes to how it smartly scales up or down recipes.
However, one feature I’m missing from when I used Paprika is the ability to turn the phone to landscape view and have ingredients on one half and directions on the other half of the screen. If this can be implemented, this will be my #1 recipe app!
The App I Never Knew I Needed
I have to start by thanking David Pierce from The Verge for mentioning this app in his recurring article ‘Installer’. I would have never found out about it if it weren’t for him.
As for the app itself, I’m in shock at just how well thought out the entire thing is. It has all of the features you would want when considering to store your favourite recipes, but mainly USE them again and again in an efficient way. I became giddy at the idea of importing an entire recipe from one simple URL, with all of the essential elements of the recipe perfectly in tact and organized. What a time saver!
I could go on and on about the features, but honestly after trying out the app for free I paid the one-time fee within 3 days of using. For an app that works and looks this good, they should charge more.
My only feedback so far, would be the tab for browsing your existing library of recipes. Although scrolling seems simple, I can see this getting cumbersome when you’ve amazed dozens of your favourite recipes. It might be nice to have a gallery viewing option to change between tiles with or without the recipe details, and even tile size.
Otherwise I would recommend this app to quite literally EVERYONE. You might as well try it out for free. There’s absolutely NO catch, and it’s made cooking with my phone fun and easy.
Best App Ever !!
I was looking for an app exactly like this for a long time it is really simple and well done !! 😍
Well Worth the Cost
This app is the best means I have ever discovered of organizing recipes you find on the internet and elsewhere, and making them easily accessible to any cook. In addition, it enables you to make shopping lists of ingredients you need, as well as adjust quantities and switch between imperial and metric measurements. A really excellent app!
The best app around
Applications those days are getting worse, but this one is simply the best I use since a long time. No monthly subscriptions is too me a good idea. I buy the iOS and Mac version. I use it everyday and importing recipes is working 100% of the time. Adding items to the reminder app is a good addition. Still importing all my stuff gradually. iCloud sync is really welcomed too.
Nice app - family sharing not working
Wish the family sharing with this app would work. Otherwise it’s a nice app.
