Just by chance I saw this app and thought this is right up my street, I was right, this app is brilliant and use it daily, sadly my other app Paprika never gets used, I’ll keep until I’ve imported all my recipes. Thanks Mela Team you’ve converted me, Love Love the app

A great example of how apps on ios should be. Smart, effective and simple to use.

This is everything that I’ve been looking for. It is quite possibly the best app I have ever used. I am always saving recipes: whether this is bookmarking recipes in books or saving screenshots in my photo app, I have recipes everywhere. It became so hard to manage and actually plan to use them! After trialling different apps (and refusing to pay £20 a year subscriptions), I found Mela’s £5 one time payment to be the best deal. You get all the same bells and whistles of the different apps for a fraction of the price! I love how you can organise recipes into different groups, and can extract recipes from books (by easy and quick scan features) or online. Being neurodivergent, organisation isn’t my strong suit, but meal planning has never been so easy with this. I have not left a review of an app before, but I LOVE THIS APP! I tell everyone about it. GET THIS APP! It will change your life!!

Insanely useful app, all my recipes are in it now. The detection from websites is super good, only needing tweaks occasionally. It even processes recipes from Instagram! I wish you could export recipes as images (I just screenshot from the PDF it exports) for easier sharing but other than that it’s pretty much perfect.

It was pure chance that I stumbled on this app and my oh my I’m sure glad I did, I’ve been using paprika for a few years now and can’t fault it. Now this app is so much more elegant and better searching and saving and the layout is spot on. To any future users, try it buy it I know you will. Top marks to the producers of this app.

This app is amazing! So easy to use and a great way to meal plan. The shopping list also makes the dreaded food shop much easier! My only improvements would be: 1. To be able to have sub categories to minimise help keep the tab tidy and the ability to order your categories. I like to split my selection into under x kcal so would be nice for them to be in order. 2. The ability to export the nutrition values to apple health, MyFitnessPal or other tracking apps. With these it would be 5 stars for me!

As you’d expect from the developer behind Reeder this is a wonderful app.

Good until iOS 18. Continually quits, especially on scanning a recipe. Needs an update.

Been using Paprika for a couple of years and although it was great to note recipes and my meal plan for the week, it looked really outdated and was clunky to use Then I saw Apple advertising this app and DAMN I’m already converted. Imported all my recipes into this app and it just looks GORGEOUS And a one off payment with no subscription model? This app has won me over straight away. Beautifully designed app.

I love it. Mela is great with two exceptions: on iOS the adjust servings slider is fiddly to use and could probably be improved with a different form of control. And the app sometimes crashing when scanning from a hard copy. Minor things in a really useful app which is a pleasure to use.
