I was extremely happy at first. I even made it a point to share and show support at TechCrunch Disrupt. Then, I was stuck, stranded at Newark airport because my Mercury cards mysteriously just stopped working. Mercury, in their infinite wisdom, decided that having a phone number or any other means to contact them in a time of emergency was somehow below them. I was using Mercury for my company’s primary banking solution. DEFINITELY NOT ANYMORE. I’m going to Chase Bank tomorrow to move my company’s banking over to them ASAP.
They refuse to honor a perk through Stripe Atlas so they essentially got a free $20000 loan for 90 days from me. Told me the support agent who said they would honor the perk “did not align with their policy.” They absolutely could still honor this perk, but they won’t. Very scammy behavior from a bank.
I’m a couple months into using Mercury for business as a remote worker/ expat with international clients and (soon!) international contractors. The interface is excellent. Transfers and payments to contractors have been painless. I look forward to trying out reimbursements and accounting.
Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Bad turnover for ach/check deposits. Need better features. I ended up closing and going with someone else.
The app is great - if you can log in. I’m currently stuck out of my account and Support is incredibly unresponsive. The only way to contact them is via email, no phone number. I’ve been locked out of my account all day and unable to make required payments. They require you to have 2 factor authentication, which is great, until you upgrade your phone or something and no longer have Mercury in your 2FA. Not really clear what one is supposed to do here, and there is zero live support to help.
