Description

A Linear Progression Based PPL Program for Beginners, Metallicdpas PPL is based push/pull/legs program. A 6 day routine. And it can also be run as a 3 day routine. This programme is sourced from a post on reddit as linked below
The goal of this app is to log and track your progression on theMetallicdpas PPL workout. It will layout the workout programme for you and also you your performance. You and also add photos and take other measurements.
This program is a six-day or three-day per week weight lifting routine designed for beginners based on the push/pull/legs (PPL) principle. The program is meant to strike a balance between what beginners want to do in the gym (i.e., working on their "glamour muscles" every day) and what conventional training wisdom recommends for novices (i.e., a 3-day full body linear progression program).
The program emphasizes linear progression, which means adding weight workout to workout in a straight line on a graph, and progressive overload, which is necessary for making strength and muscle gains. The main lifts in the program are performed heavier than the accessory lifts that follow. The main lifts are designed to improve strength and have a carryover effect to other lifts, whereas accessory lifts are intended to balance out weak points and build muscle.
The PPL program involves push exercises, pull exercises, and leg exercises. Push exercises are those that move things away from the body, such as bench presses, whereas pull exercises are those that move things towards the body, such as rows. Leg exercises are self-explanatory.
While the program is intended to provide enough volume to stimulate growth in the muscles that beginners tend to focus on, such as the biceps and triceps, it also emphasizes progressing in a correct and appropriate manner. The program is sourced from a post on Reddit by Metallicdpas and is a useful resource for beginners looking to build muscle and lose weight through resistance training.
