Just put in a refund request with the Apple Store. This app is advertised to look free and then it tricks you into thinking you have to do a free trial but then the “free trial” just defaults you to paying over $100 instantly. I love the website so i thought i would try a trial but this is scam levels of sketchy. They need to simplify the way they display the pricing. Plus. If it’s not a free app just say so. But the app literally makes you wait and go through a questionnaire and a fake loading screen before you even get to the pay options. It’s intentionally made to deceive people into paying by playing on their impatience.
These guys steal your money. I tried a free trial but the it charged me over $100 immediately. This is so stupid I hate musescore!!!
Almost everything within the app requires some form of payment. Want to download moonlight sonata? Gotta pay for that, even though you can find it for free in the library of congress! Want to see the official sheet music for another, popular song? That’s not only premium restricted, it’s premium+. Don’t use. Find an alternative.
They charged more than 200 dollars without any notice.
Musescore is a crappy website and I would not recommend using it
Like another user mentioned, I signed up for a free trial over the holidays to try out some holiday music for my 5 year old who just started learning piano. I missed the deadline to cancel within 7 days (my fault), and 5 hours after getting billed $89, I emailed to request to cancel and get a refund. Here was their reply: Hello, Thank you for contacting MuseScore Support. I can see that you started a 7 -Day free trial with a 12-month subscription and didn't cancel it before the end of the free trial period. You were informed about the price and subscription plan while subscribing. So you were charged for a PRO+ with LEARN Lite subscription as advertised. This purchase was fully pre-authorized on your side while subscribing. I have decided to discuss the case with my head office and asked them to reduce the price. So here is our special offer for you. Would you agree to get 10-month of additional access to PRO+ with LEARN Lite or a 35% refund? This way, you will keep PRO+ with LEARN Lite access not only in the web account but also in our Mobile App. Please consider the options: Option a: 10-month additional access + your current 1-year PRO+ with LEARN Lite access + PRO+ with LEARN Lite features in mobile apps included (by choosing this option, you get in total 22 months of PRO+ with LEARN Lite without additional charges) Option b: 35% refund + your current 1-year PRO+ with LEARN Lite access + PRO+ with LEARN Lite features in mobile apps included (this way, you get back 35% of the paid funds and keep your 12-month subscription) So which option do you prefer, a 35% refund for the current year or a subscription extension (+10 additional months of the service)? Clearly, subscription cancellation oversights are a significant part of their revenue.
