MusicBox is a flexible listen later app for albums, songs, artists, playlists, radio stations, podcast episodes, and so on. Save new music for later, catalog and organize favorites, assign tags, notes, metadata, and more.

MusicBox collects relevant metadata of albums and songs and is deeply integrated into the system with features such as Interactive Widgets, Share Sheet, App Shortcuts, iCloud, and more. It supports a wide range of platforms, and you can also add music manually by filling in all the required fields.

An incredibly useful little app

This application has all the tagging and filtering that’s missing in Spotify

Indispensable

For those who like to keep track of new music this is such a great app and clearly coded by someone who knows their stuff. One thing I would love to be added is Siri integration for those times when you’re on the move and a new playlist track comes on that you want to go back to. This is easy enough to do manually using the track’s share function but it would be very cool to be able to say ‘Siri, share to MusicBox’. Other than that small thing I can’t fault it and recommend it wholeheartedly. Edit: I see now Siri can add to MusicBox but only with the phone unlocked and with the app open, so nothing to gain using a voice command in that context really. It would be nice if a more practical implementation of Siri could be added but maybe that’s not possible.

An essential app for expanding your musical horizons

Love it. Helps me keep track of all the artists, albums and genres I’d like to know more about. Love the sync and drag & drop functionality. If there was one feature I’d like to see, it’s multi-select for quickly rounding albums up into tags.

Superb

Just brought this app and it’s one of the best apps I’ve brought. It is such a way to track all your music with a lot of information. Can be used to help remember albums that I need to get. I use this along side MusicHarbor. Top app and such a cool price. Highly recommended.

Exactly what I was looking for

I’d been trying to manage my “listen later” songs using regular playlists for a long time and it was not working. This app is exactly what I was looking for. It’s very well made and attractively designed, very easy to use (you can just send stuff straight from Apple Music via the share sheet) and runs on all Apple platforms. Really highly recommended.

I could end this review after one line: if you like MusicHarbor and know how much love Marcos puts in his apps, please buy MusicBox. This is my app of the year. It completes the iOS / iPadOS / macOS music app ecosystem. Apple Music gives us access to unlimited music. MusicHarbor helps us keep up with favourite artists and labels. MusicBox helps us “gather” everything that’s new in easy to digest collections. I could go into more detail but better writers have done reviews (MacStories). This app is a must buy for music lovers.

Been testing this in beta - it’s a top app

Love this. I love music but I often add a bunch of albums to my library and then lose track of them. This app is what I’ve needed.
