I have synced my bike to the app and the navigation seems to work But in ‘my garage’ it shows the bike I have (a street triple 865) but won’t display any of the details, km’s, next service etc
Quick take: if you’re looking to buy a bike with Bluetooth from Triumph, use the fact that this app doesn’t provide the functionality advertised to haggle down the price and buy a quad lock. I’ve had my Tiger 900 for nearly 12 months now and I’ve never been able to get the app to connect completely. I’ve got music and calls routed through the bike fine; but you don’t need the app to achieve that. When you consider that “lower end” brands like CFmoto are able to provide over the air updates to their displays with their Bluetooth on top of everything else, it’s pretty embarrassing that Triumph can’t make even a basic functioning application. At the time of writing this, there has been no update in 7 months. No effort put into actually fixing well known and documented issues, just pure laziness and a middle finger to their customers. So, buy the bikes they are great machines, but don’t use this rubbish app as any consideration in making your purchase.
I find it hard not believe that someone signed off on this appalling app. Honestly, try to get it to pair within a few hours, good luck with that. Even when it says it's paired and the bike details are populated, the navigation part says it's not and you're back to square one. Read the instructions? Yep, did that. Followed the in app prompts. No joy. App developer, you really sold a dummy to Triumph on this one. Nice work. Seriously poor work. FYI. iPhone 14 iOS up to date. 22 Tiger 900
Was a bit tricky as most said to setup via Vin which didn’t work for me. I just followed the instructions as per the YouTube video and it works every time for me. I would like to see if I can select to avoid unsealed roads though. Maybe in the future or I may have to upload a map that does. Thanks Triumph. 🤙✌️
I purchased a brand new Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer. The shop eventually got the app to pair… I have been riding bikes for about 35 years… never have I had a rider experience as bad as that riding the tiger. They make you pull over to put the bike into offroad mode for safety… YET… The turn by turn is often delayed when updating so you miss the turn, or spend all your time looking for street names instead of the road. The app doesn't provide a “bike route” with all the twisties. You can’t link up with other riders maps. You can’t use the app as a map… The bike lacks a temp, odometer and tripmeter on the dash so without constantly cycling through the menus, again taking your eyes off the road you are riding without key info displayed… we really don’t need a tacho that big… Most bike riders don’t need a tacho. You change gears by feel… like when driving a manual car. I have unpaired my phone and have paired it directly to my Sena headset. I use a map program on my phone which is easier to use and updates quickly. The map being visible reduces the time I spend looking away from the road. I strongly recommend NOT using this app or pairing your phone to your bike, pair to a headset and/or a motorcycle GPS unit. Based on the rider experience I will not be buying another Triumph… clearly the people that designed the UI and the app have never actually ridden a bike…
This app has completely killed my new bike feeling. Following the instructions exactly my iPhone 14 pro on iOS 16.4.1 (a) I can get the phone and the bike to agree that they are connected but the My Triumph app says my phone is not connected despite my phone appearing on the dash and Bluetooth on my phone saying it’s connected. The tech offered on the 2023 Tiger was a big factor in my decision to purchase plus I paid nearly $500AUD for the Bluetooth upgrade. Back to quad lock I go
I’ve just spent $27,000 on a new Speed Triple RS and other then the ride itself I was really looking forward to using the big tft screen for navigating my way around! Well, phone doesn’t pair properly, bike doesn’t even recognise the app so I now have to go and pay another $150+ on top of what I have just spent for a Quad lock case and holder! Not happy!!!!
The instructions to pair are a nightmare, even if you do get a successful connection the software doesn’t allow for any navigation what so ever, just fixes on a random location. I asked my dealer to review at 1st service and they had no idea how to fix. Come on Triumph you can do way better!
Call in Connect to my tiger 900 pro using the iPhone app until this version came out. There are actually some pretty cool features, for example, you can load a GPX file in, or record a ride.
