My Truphone: eSIM travel data

Never worked, the technical service made me modify some parameters that don’t work. After one week they asked me to do the same modifications. I spent hours to send screenshots, restart etc… to finally ask for a refund. Almost 2 months with no answer and today they say that the case is closed. I lost (lot of) time and money. I tried other eSIM no one worked on my iPhone 13 Pro. Bought a physical sim that worked right away

I've bought an eSIM from them and the data was not available. I tried to contact support, and after three days of back and forth, I still had no access to data. I asked for a full refund, and they just ignored me. If you want something that works, look elsewhere.

Quelques ajustements à faire dans les réglages et le tour est joué. Essentiellement il faut que les données à l’étranger soient activées pour le forfait secondaire relié à la esim Truphone. J’ai aussi l’impression que l’option « limiter le suivi » doit être à off lors de la première utilisation. Pour ma part, ca s’est mis à fonctionner dès que j’ai fermé et remis à on par la suite. L’application permet même d’essayer gratuitement avant d’acheter le forfait! J’ai acheté le forfait regional europe que j’ai utilisé en Italie, France, Espagne et Portugal et ca a fonctionné à merveille sur mon téléphone ainsi que sur celui de ma conjointe. De plus ca m’a semblé être une des applications la plus abordable quand j’ai comparé avec 2 autres.

Spend $20 on a 5 GB plan and used only 300mb on ggogle maps travelling. Worked well with google maps on the road, but after that, struggled to get any estimate in Portland walking. Never updated and never estimated. Couldn’t surf ANY website or get any mail. TOTAL failure. Stay away.

This app does not work. DON’T BUY IT. I contacted customer service to let them know that the app doesn’t work and they made some settings suggestions, which didn’t help. I then asked for a refund and was ignored. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I subsequently bought Airalo and it worked without a problem.

Works sporadically here in the Caribbean and support has not responded to me at all after 4 days of support email request. GigSky competition working great and using instead. No option to call support, only email with no response (except the auto responder letting you know a ticket was opened). Price is good, plans also, wish it would actually work!

Im again updating my review for Truphone, after buying a one month data plan the plan was set to auto renew. There is no mention Of auto renew on the pricing page but when I looked again on the checkout page, the auto renew option is cunningly hidden between some marketing preferences. Very devious and not at all clear. 1 star for deceptive marketing, I’ll use the 4* rated ubigi app in the future

This is a okay e-sim platform. I’ve only used it in Spain and uk, but both places the connection seems to drop quite a bit. I have missed a couple trains/planes in a pinch because I’ve had to troubleshoot the signal issues when I needed the service most. I’ve chosen to use a different e-sim company as this one is iffy at its highest operation level. The price is competitive for the data packages but the quality doesn’t meet the price. It works, 75% of the time but shop around and you’ll find a better product.

The app interface is good and relatively easy to activate a plan, but then it went downhill after that. I tried the 100mb free trial for a day in New York City to see how well it worked before paying for a plan, and it only occasionally worked properly and allowed data usage on my iPhone 13. At least 80% of the time while trying to access data it would just hang and was totally useless. After uninstalling the app the cellular and messaging settings on my phone were completely messed up and it took a long time to try to reset them all and make my phone work properly again. Super frustrating!!! Avoid this app!

Je l’ai utilisé aux EU en avril/mai 2022. Le réseau utilisé est le GSM avec des vitesses faméliques. Aussi je me suis abonné au réseau EU seulement mais ma carte a été activée 9 jours avant quand j’étais au Canada et non quand je suis entré aux EU.
