mySleepButton® is a CogSci Apps® invention. It’s so easy: Just lie in bed, touch the “Put Me to Sleep” button, imagine the various descriptions it reads to you, and let yourself fall asleep… pleasantly. That is the Cognitive Shuffle!
O, The Oprah magazine, calls mySleepButton “An easy little game to trick yourself to sleep.” The Guardian wrote: "My top recommendation remains the visualisation method known as the “cognitive shuffle”: download the MySleepButton app". Quartz says mySleepButton is “a drug-free sleep trick for your restless mind”. International Business Times of London says “mySleepButton App Hijacks Thoughts to Help Sleep”.
Into mindfulness meditation? mySleepButton also contains a configurable "affective body scan" meditation pack. It taps into the brain's body maps. Still awake after the meditation? Instantly proceed to guided shuffled imagery.

I have tried different techniques to help me sleep such as counting sheeps, mediation, etc but none works long-term. This app is the best;I always fall asleep within an hour and it‘s just perfect! It helps me to permanently distract my thoughts f rom my worries or even outside disturbances such as construction noise, baby cries on a plane ride, you name it。
Only if you pay for all the packs
Be prepared to pay to use. At least it is a one time payment. Not ongoing subscription. There are others options out there. Deleted 2 mins after opening
The only thing that works every time
I've tried everything for my sleep trouble and this is the only thing that works long term. Meditation and music only work until I get accustomed to them and then I have to change, but I've been using this app regularly for a couple of months now and it gets me to sleep in just minutes every time. I seem to sleep more soundly with it too, waking up less often throughout the night and feeling more refreshed in the morning after using it. If I do wake up in the night, I don't lie awake for hours anymore - I just put the app on and go straight back to sleep. I can't rate this app highly enough! It's life-changing!
Amazing
I've tried plenty of different sleep apps, most based on meditations of sorts, but never managed to completely prevent the mind wandering that stops you sleeping. Thoroughly recommend my sleep button, the crazy random things really works.
None
It works amazingly well
Excellent
The science behind this ap makes sense and it has been effective for me and the other people who have tried it on my recommendation. I love the random imaginative descriptions although I am still trying to work out what a 'modern cottage' looks like!
Works great
I love it, I set it every night and follow along. Keeps my mind relaxed.
Upgrade fail
Not working since upgrade-error messages or app shuts down when press play no matter what setting is chosen. :((
Better than meds
I have a rare and severe circadian rhythm sleep disorder and a prolapsed bladder that makes me get up every two hours to pee. This app has been life changing for me. I get up to pee, lay back down, tap the button and start thinking about earmuffs and rivers and trees and other ordinary things, one every seven seconds, and after fewer than a dozen things, I'm asleep again.
I also am on the aphantasia spectrum (I am not able to make pictures in my head) so I was afraid this app wouldn't work for me, but it does. I just let the objects appear in whatever senses are available to engage with it. If the word is rose, I feel soft petals against my face as I smell the rose. If the word is river, I hear rushing water and feel it cold against my feet. If the word is earmuffs, I feel them soft against my ears and hear the world muffled. You don't have to be able to visualize the things for this app to work.
It works!
This clever technique often does the trick when other apps do not.I have trouble turning off the churning thoughts and worries and this often works better even than sleep stories or meditative apps. As another reviewer said, it’s best to pay a little more and get the natural voice.
