Low confidence even after using it diligently for months

charlottemodel on

I was optimistic when I started using this app because it’s a lot more granular and you can track more things than other IBS symptom tracking apps I’ve tried. But alas, ultimately it still hasn’t been able to tell me anything I don’t already know, even after using it every day to track everything I eat for months. The analysis is the most important part of the app. It’s supposed to use algorithms to predict which foods you're eating, meds you’re taking, exercise you’re doing, etc that are most closely correlated with your symptoms. My problem is that even after using the app for so long and having symptoms almost every day, all of the app’s predictions are labeled “very low confidence”. I have no idea why that is or if there’s anything I could do on my end to allow the app to make more confident predictions. Ultimately the app is useless if it can’t predict what’s causing my symptoms any better than I can. The whole reason I’m using a food diary at all is because my symptoms seem unpredictable. I tried reaching out to their support about the low confidence issue but never got a response.

Still needs a search history function so you can check when things happened in the past faster.

I set a reminder at night to fill this out as best I can for the day for whichever family members need it the most. Has been life changing

Not a good Ui

I expected a modern and way better Ui design for a paid app. It bummed me out in the first second. It looks like an app from iphone 4 or something

Cannot use email function

I have a doctor appointment up coming and wanted to email my results, but the email won’t work. I went to submit a report…and you have to send an email…so I can’t even report in the app because it’s all broken.

Good

The app is pretty straight forward however it’s for food sensitivity and does have options to add swollen hands, itching, and other allergy skin symptoms. So it’s effective for what it does but would be more useful having at bare minimum an “other” button

Wow! This is a powerful and well thought out tool!

I have long standing autoimmune issues that have (so far) defied medical treatment. A huge issue has been in understanding cause & effect. MY SYMPTOMS has given me a way to: 1) track the what/when/how of lifestyle choices (diet, sleep, exercise, supplements, medications, etc) and health indicators (mood, BMs, aches & pains, etc) …whatever I believe is pertinent, 2) perform STATISTICAL ANALYSIS of the data to highlight potential cause vs effect. Of course, this analysis is only as good as the quality of the data (garbage in/garbage out!) but I’m responsible for that quality. The potential value of the correlation is oh-so-much better than just “I notice ‘this’ when I do ‘that’”, 3) share this information in a clear format (customizable PDF to print or email) with my health care team, 4) download details of food products, supplements, etc, by scanning barcodes (time saver!!!), define recipes, automatically create favorites, and many more ways to reduce the effort of capturing good data (quality!), 5) record the data easily and accurately. Because it’s easy, I’m much more likely to capture most, if not all, of the data (quality!) 6) and CUSTOMIZE almost anything I choose, to fit my unique situation. For me, tracking this level of detail, WITHOUT this app, was overwhelming, frustrating and ultimately a failure. WITH this app, I am successfully creating a picture of my complex lifestyle choices and state of health, in real time, with the ability to “do the math”. I believe that this tool will reveal insights more quickly and more accurately than any other app out there. I’m stoked!!! Try MY SYMPTOMS yourself and join me in using one of the best tools available on our journey to health!!!

After one week

ZiggyTheDonkey on

I need to wait for a few months to see how valuable the analysis function is, but after a week of use, I can give a 5 star. I’m able to track everything I need plus add symptoms to my needs. Easy to use! Works consistently after one week.

The App I have been looking for

Recovering from rectal cancer surgeries with severe bowel issues. Able to track bowel movements, food intake, medication, LARS symptoms with ease. Existing data base of food and medications is outstanding. This is the perfect documentation to be able to show my doctors just what I am going through complete with pain levels and frequency of symptoms. Perfect for Lower Anterior Resection Syndrome (LARS) patients.

Great app

So far I love this app! And I appreciate that it doesn’t have calories and it’s not weight-centric.
