Almost ideal

Let me choose the different cameras my iPhone has. Please update the app

Needs updating to support Wide Angle Lens

Pimlights on

United Kingdom

I’ve queried with NDI why the App hasn’t been updated in several years and why it doesn’t support the full range of lenses on iPhone 13 / 14. Reply from Tech Support on 10th July 2023 was “ At present, you can only use the primary shooter lens for both rear and front facing camera. I'll see if we can put it in as a feature request, but ultimately we'd be limited to whatever options Apple has made available to us.” They don’t seem to realise that full support for all camera devices on iPhone has been available for over 4 years!

Incredibly unstable

Feels like it was made by a teenage in his bedroom. I wouldn’t trust this for anything other than gimmicks. Have no other issues with NDI sources on my network however this cannot maintain a standard video from my iPhone 13 pro for more than 10 seconds. There are no settings in this app that allow you to tell if anything is working correctly. Nothing is configurable. You are completely blind when you cannot transmit any video. No debugging or diagnostic options. Rip off at this price. Companies need to do better and stop taking consumers for a ride. Trying to get my money back ASAP.

No support for new phones

App has been by NewTek, no app updates or support for 60fps on new phone, no support for other cameras.

Needs extra camera support

Using this for handheld live broadcasts at events. Easy to use and works flawlessly over our networks. My only comment/request is that it needs to support the wide and tele cameras of the iPhone Pro. Hopefully this is something the developers are already planning.

Works Great

This is so cool, works great 😀 absolutely flawless every time. Thanks NewTek To those down rating this app, do you already have a working NDI setup? It’s not fair to blame this app if you don’t understand how to use the NDI protocol. NDI is very easy to use but don’t expect it wipe your back side. If you’re new to NDI download 'NDI tools' from ndi.tv (free) do a little reading. NDI is very plug and play but computers/ networking / firewalls can create problems. It’s not fair to blame this app for situations out of its control.

Great App

Getting AF/AE locks to work in the interface is a little tricky. Would be great if I could use the PTZ controls in to pull zoom, exposure, and focus from another work station on the network.

Excellent

Albegood on

Been looking for webcam apps to stream phone to pc for Zoom, Teams and so on, tried many free apps was ready to purchase an alternative but was not convinced on the stability so continued to search the wow factor, long story short after seven hours later and lost count on apps tried I made the plunge to purchase this app, yes it’s double the cost of the others I searched... but worth every penny, I know I will not make full use of the app and tools software, but for my needs it great, the best test will be when I use for Zoom and Teams... if works well as other reviewers then it’s the best £19.99 I spent, considering the camera on the iPhone XS Max is great.....

Its useless

FlyerMiyendiz on

I bought it and installed the ndi tools drivers and obs pugin. The video is sluggy. And the video encoder service task on mac is usün 100% CPU. Frames are dropping on obs. My mac is 2017 macbook 2017 2.9 i7.

Better camera control required

Groberoo on

United Kingdom

Great that I can get my phone camera over the network but anyone using this seriously will want to see better camera controls for setting shutter speed, aperture, iso, framerate etc. (Learn from or team up with Filmic Pro) Also would be nice to make use of the additional lenses on the newer devices. Also the app overscans slightly on iPhones with no home button.
