NetBenefits FAQ
Is NetBenefits free?
Yes, NetBenefits is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is NetBenefits legit?
⚠️ The NetBenefits app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I can’t understand why you don’t support IOS 12 anymore. You already have an up and running application for my iPhone 6 but somehow you decided to remove IOS 12 support and I can’t see my account details. It’s ridiculous. I don’t accept this policy. Shame on you!
App Not Working
The app stop working I only see US Employees or Outside US Employees no login window. This needs to be fixed ASAP!
cannot log in
Bad user experience cannot even log in
Face ID and Trusted Devices never work
No matter how many ways I try to enable the Face ID it never can be enabled in the first place. The settings say at login you’ll be able to turn it on but when you actually try to turn it on and login, it actually says you need to be logged in instead.
I have also been prompted to my phone as a trusted device many times and no matter what it always keeps prompting me and never add the device.
Seems very immature in many ways when it comes to login and security.
Mobile app not working
Mobile app doesn’t work for awhile. Sad you cant fix it for such a long time
Great App
I was using the website before and that was more complicated to navigate around to understand the retirement plan. The app simplifies the data for the average person to better understand with charts and information it shows in detail. Very good app.
Janky
I use the Fidelity NetBenefits app almost entirely just to check my 401k balance, and for that convenient purpose it works fine for me — when it works. Unfortunately, about 20% of the times when I try to open it, it doesn’t open. All I see is a white screen with a spinning wheel indicating it’s trying to load. When that happens, I either delete it then reinstall it or I just give up, open a browser window and go to Fidelity.com. It’s a shame, because I really like the app — when it works.
App no longer loads
App stuck infinite loop and no longer loads to show login screen. Now required to use website
Slow to load, almost never available on Sundays
Takes forever start up, any other financial app I have works right after face ID validation.
In addition, it seems every sunday is a regular maintenance day, so they should announce that the app is only available from Monday to Saturdays (and maybe as a bonus, one sunday every 3-4). If you want to check your financial positions that day, either make a printscreen on Saturdays, or wait until monday.
Other than that, the rest is very basic, does what is supposed to do.
It’s ok, poor execution
You would expect that a company of a such size and wealth, that gets a cut of almost everyone’s 401k’s, would be able to afford QA and more bandwidth.
It takes almost a minute to load the app every time I open it and immediately it pulls up a screen I can’t avoid that wants me to “update” it and forces me to go to the AppStore, which of course has no update to offer. Every. single. time.
Maybe try and pay your developers more than minimum wage and actually test software before millions of people have to endure this shoddy craftsmanship.
