Love the app. Excellent way to go to sleep and then wake up to my Spotify play list. Been a user since the beginning.

Great app

I think the app has improved since the most recent updates, however I do still think it’s sad we have to have Spotify premium. I would rather just wake up to an ad than not wake up at all. But that’s my take 😅

Stopped using not a week after the cursed update and still have Caelum Quietude (the silent sound that plays throughout the night) in my top artists… it will probably stay in my recommendations for the whole year.. Use only if you don’t care about such features.

An update nobody asked for

Why does the new update force you to have to play sound all night or leave your phone to idle all day. before the update I would be able to reset the alarm each morning and go on my way, when nighttime came I could just put my phone down and sleep because the alarm was already set. Now you have to set the alarm each night, and if you forgot because you were tired then it sucks to be you I guess. You could set it back to the way it was and make the app infinitely better

Terrible update

The number of times I’ve been woken up 30 mins past the time I set the alarm for, or just not woken up at all, has been ridiculous since the update. I do enjoy the white noise now, but the cons vastly outweigh the pros. The success rate with the app actually playing my music at my set time is about 10%, as it almost always says “there’s been an error” and just plays no alarm at all. I used to be such a huge fan of this app, sucks that it hardly works now.

Volume problems

The app was better when it didn’t have the night sound required to be on. Also my alarm did not go off because the app was auto forcing my volume down and did it during the day as well so I couldn’t hear YouTube videos, I had to completely remove the app to be able to turn my volume back up.

Bad Update

Go back to the old version this one sucks!

Devastating update

I have no idea what the developer’s long term vision is for this app, but the recent update has essentially erased all value. If making more $ is the plan - I’m sure many of your users would happily pay a (higher) subscription price for the previous service. The Morning app was the only one that I could trust to play my spotify song/ playlist reliably without some ridiculous requirement to have the app open all night or encounter bugginess or confusing paywalls. Now, setting the alarm is tied to playing a ‘sound’ all night and you have to keep the app open all night for the morning alarm to go off. It’s clunky and frustrating to use - the LAST type of experience I want to have when I’m tired, at the end of my day, wanting to just quickly switch on my alarm for the morning. After years of raving about this app as a standout among the absolute trash other options available, I’m sad to say I’ve deleted it and now count it among the other useless apps available for the function of playing spotify as a morning alarm.
