Nirvana for GTD Reviews

Busy mom and small business owner

Calm juggling on

United States

I am learning how to implement GTD methods in my life by using Nirvana. It’s simple and easy to use. It has more capabilities than I initially thought and I am getting better at planning actionable steps. My life is less overwhelming thanks to Nirvana and GTD.

Life-changing app

Nirvana literally changed my life. Made me more productive but also less anxious.

Sneakily Good!

Few apps are consistent across iOS, iPad and Mac- Nirvana excels in its UI and excellent keyboard shortcuts. The Mac app scales up for aging eyes. The new themes are attractive. Finally, the app is VERY fast.

I love Nirvana

I’ve been using Nirvana for a while and it’s become a key part of how I organize my day. I had a few questions early on and the support team was fast, clear, and genuinely helpful — which made a huge difference. Solid app, thoughtful design, and great customer service. Highly recommended.

Hard to trust your data in an app with zero support

I’m having multiple problems but I submitted just one of them were Sitch was working and I haven’t heard back from anyone after over a month. I keep pinging to see if someone will tell me anything but I hear nothing. Maybe they are going out of business?

Excellent GTD app, stagnant feature set, browser version is better

Really is the best implementation of GTD I’ve ever seen. UX is a bit weak and dated. Some simple additions would make it a real powerhouse. For example when you’re looking at a Next list task that’s in a project, there is no way to jump to the project directly to see how that task fits in. In other words no context. The browser version lets you do this. After umpteen years with mostly the same UX limitations, it’s hard for me to get excited about Nirvana. I’ve used it a lot many years ago, when I needed windows compatibility. But, I’m on Apple devices only now, and Things is so much more efficient (and pleasant) to use. I’ve read about “exciting new features coming” to Nirvana for months if not years, but with no published roadmap and a very sluggish track record, I just don’t believe it. Too bad, because functionally it IS the GTD gold standard.

Needs widgets!

Loving the app and web version so far. I’d be happy to pay for it, but it’s ESSENTIAL to have lock-screen and home page widgets for quick additions. Thanks!

Glitchy on iPad lately

KayleSarchelle on

United States

As we speak, app is a blank white screen. Happened while I was in the middle to adding some tags to some tasks. Earlier today I tried updating the app but it was taking an unusually long time so I cancelled the update. It seemed stuck in a loop. I resorted to cancelling the update. Now this! This isn’t helping my productivity at all right now.

Love the desktop applications

Bushman on

The only thing that kept me from fully adopting was the lack of desktop applications. Now that they have beta Windows and Mac applications, I am all in. Simple to use, clean interface and very quick synching across all my devices
