As a beginner student in music I found this app, and thought to give it a try. I was able to type out the lyrics and chords to music pieces I want to learn and play. Unfortunately after completing the tedious process of
Manually putting together the lyrics and saving the work, I come back to find that the app has rearranged my Chords that’s inconsistent with my diatonic chords. Twice I had to change all of the chords to the original key, only to have it happen again. I’m using the free trial and if this is how the app works I won’t be purchasing it after the trial ends.

Version 2024 is far unreliable. This is a catastrophe for working musicians. I can go back to 2023. Please update with rendering fixes immediately

OnSong 2024
Just downloaded 2024. I had some issues, but after watching some videos to understand some of the new formats, this new version is amazing. Still in the learning phase. I love the new OnSong cloud. It appears this new version is very comprehensive and I applaud the OnSong crew and development team. I have been a premium subscriber for years and utilize much of capabilities provided. I can’t wait to get caught up on all of the new functions.
I successfully moved everything from OnSong 2020 over to 2024. For me, the annual premium cost (even the new cost), is well worth it.
To the OnSong crew, I hope maybe you will consider having another seminar/class on all of the benefits and uses of the 2024 program, like you did in Florida. There was a charge, but that day in instruction was great and you answered so many questions on breaks. Please consider doing it again in the near future. Just a thoughts.

Used to be great but now it’s a money grab
OnSong has been wonderful since I paid $29.99 for it a few years ago. I decided to “update” the app and try the 2024 version. How disappointing to find out that you have to pay to do ANYTHING in the app. You can’t add, format or transpose a song without getting a subscription first. Ridiculous! I was really looking forward to the new features but I refuse to pay a monthly or annual subscription for an app that I have already purchased. OnSong staff will reply and say it’s a different app than the previous versions like OnSong 2020 but that’s not true - it’s the same app with PAY TO PLAY included. Shameful!!!
Use OnSong 2020 instead
I’ve used on song 2020 for several years and it worked great. It lacked certain features but overall a solid product and simple to use. I decided to switch to 2023 expecting there to be better features such as automatic synchronization but not only was that still not a feature but the app is worse. The manual sync is much harder to use and different features used to access with one button I had to go searching to find and many times it outright didn’t work. I’m switching back to 2020. Please go back to the 2020 interface and add auto sync between devices!

I like it, sometimes love it
So I’ve been using this app now for about three years. What I need to understand is why does the option to transpose chords in the program disappear? This is a great app when it’s fully functioning. This is now my second time dealing with this issue. The problem is I can’t remember how I fixed it the first time…

One of the worst apps I have ever seen.
Very frustrating Program
I have a love/hate relationship with this app. Building lyrics with chords, the chords do not line up over the lyrics like you see when editing. This app is NOT user friendly at all. Considering another source and program for my iPad.
