Very intuitive app and nice UI. It could be the best hiking app considering the following: Sometimes you walk on a trail that isn’t on the map. Tracking that trail and then add it right from the app to OSM would be great, because it’s more precise adding a GPS-tracked trail than trying to insert it afterwards at home on a computer trying to remember it. Especially when there are more than one trail to add.

I used this App for trekking an hiking, online download of OpenTopoMaps and offline use of GPS tracking. PROs: 1. Truly free app, no ads, no in-app purchases, what you see is what you get; 2. Offline Open TopoMaps save battery and lack of internet connection in the wild; 3. I imported my personal GPX tracks and waypoints and I was able to follow them; 4. I exported GPX tracks on other systems. CON: 1. I downloaded offline maps by browsing the area of interest at different map scales and subsequently when I swiped the map (both online and offline) I noticed that some of them were dropped from the offline cache memory. Please consider the following recommendations for enhancements: 1. Bulk download of offline maps for specific areas or region or until the cache memory is full; 2. Bigger zoom-in at the biggest scale map; 3. Use of different colors to discriminate offline loaded (personal) tracks and actual GPS tracking.
ho caricato due tracce per seguirle durante un’escursione in mtb e una scialpinistica. in ebtrmbe i casi le vedo (senza potergli cambiare nome) nella cartella delle tracce salvate. una volta che le apro non si vede alcuna traccia e vengo posizionato in africa... inutile. le mappe sono corrette, le ho scaricate sul garmin e si vedono
This is a great app and It saves me a lot of time on coupling gps data with my camera photos. Unfortunately It looks like I can’t lock the North. Is it possible to implement that function please? Maybe a third tap on the arrow on the bottom left would per perfect without changing or adding anything else in the UI. Again...great app 👏🏻👍🏻
Cons: We can’t download offline the map we will hike, so if I want to put my device in airplane mode (saving battery) the map is very slow in charging landscapes. The label in the maps somethimes are too small so we need zooming but they will still too small. Pros: very intuitive, very low energy utilize, precise. Is the best app in this pitch. Please adjust that ad you will be perfect!
Perfetta, senza fronzoli e pubblicità, crea una traccia che si può esportare su altri sistemi. Funziona anche in background dando gli opportuni diritti. Si possono utilizzare le mappe Apple e Openstreetmap. Codice opensource e aggiornata spesso.
Bella app per gpx ma ha un problema: quando si vuole aprire una traccia gpx salvata sul dispositivo cliccando Condividi dalla app File, non è presente il pulsante COPIA IN GPX TRACKER. È presente solo il pulsante APRI IN GPX TRACKER. Questo pulsante fa avviare l’applicazione ma nella cartella delle tracce il gpx non si è copiato e la traccia non si apre. Peccato, con le OpenStreetMap sarebbe un’applicazione top. Invece da Dropbox funziona; cliccando esporta è presente il pulsante COPIA IN GPX TRACKER . Spero in un aggiornamento , nell’aggiunta delle Open Cycles Map e magari in un visualizzatore profilo altimetrico traccia che renderebbe l’App completa x uso Outdoor
