Organic maps: kaarten offline

Lovely maps with lots of detail and info. Agreeable colour scheme. For car navigation the app is not to my liking: just a single route is calculated, no alternatives to choose from (although I do understand work is being done to address this issue). Spoken directions are (still) badly timed when driving. Traffic info is not available. In response to the developer’s response: first of all, many thanks for taking the time to respond to my review. Valid points you bring up. I appreciate the efforts to extend functionality (e.g. alternative routes). As for traffic info: make it a paid option perhaps? TomTom, Google and others have offerings. But yes, privacy might be a concern.

Bij het inzoomen en verschuiven van de kaart wordt telkens hinderlijk uitgezoomd tot op wereldniveau. Twee vingers of 1 vinger gebruiken maakt geen verschil. Deze bug zit op de IPhone, niet op de IPad. Nog steeds hinderlijk uitzoomen op onverwachte momenten; screenshot werkt hierbij niet, zoals gevraagd. Verder nog steeds de beste kaart. Ga zo door jongens.

Lekker snappy en ondersteund fietsroutes, wat Apple maps nog steeds niet doet!

Valid points you bring up. I appreciate the efforts to extend functionality (e.g. alternative routes). I also understand you need more info/feedback concerning the timing issues I experience. I’m not sure I’d be willing to drive a route and make notes on the exact points along the route where the timing is off. As a general approach and guideline, I’d time the instructions around a 3 second window before a “major change” (e.g. making a turn). A timed approach as such would take speed (and anticipated speed!) into account. What I notice is that an instruction to take the next road left often comes too early and this causes confusion when there are two, albeit small, roads to pass before the actual turn. Would be nice if bookmarks were automatically saved to iCloud instead of having to sync .kml files via PC.

I really like the app way better bike support than Apple Maps but it would be rly nice to see a setting to change the average speed on a bike for people who have an e-bike or moped

De beste gratis en privacy vriendelijke kaarten app, voor al je outdoor avonturen. De developers maken grote stappen bij iedere update! Fantastisch werk en ga zo door, echt top! Mijn persoonlijke wensen: 1. Een universele app die ook beschikbaar is op de Mac, voor het uitstippelen van nieuwe routes. 2. Integratie van de Apple Watch, om eenvoudig je routebegeleiding te bekijken op je pols, offline.
