Description

MITSUBISHI Remote Control allows you to customize your Outlander PHEV experience from your phone.

When you connect to your PHEV’s wireless LAN, you can:
- Charge your vehicle on a timer or on demand
- Heat or cool your car before your drive
- Set timers to ensure your PHEV charges completely and avoid peak rate hours
- Turn on your headlights or parking lights to help locate your vehicle
- Check your vehicle status

The MITSUBISHI Remote Control lets you view all vehicle settings in an intuitive dashboard. Manage timer settings for charging and climate control, monitor battery status and performance, and set customized weekly schedules to reflect your lifestyle, directly from your connected device.

Please note: Your Outlander PHEV communicates with this app exclusively via Wireless LAN, not by cellular technology. Wireless LAN communication can be hindered by distance, radio waves, or physical barriers.

MITSUBISHI Remote Control is a renewed and unified experience combining and replacing the prior “OUTLANDER PHEV”, “OUTLANDER PHEV I” applications. This app is intended to provide the same functionality (and more) in an improved user interface.

For users of the earlier applications:
- “OUTLANDER PHEV” : If you are using this app, you may need to contact the nearest Authorized Mitsubishi Dealership to implement the service campaign of the security upgrade.
- “OUTLANDER PHEV I” : Please download this new MITSUBISHI Remote Control app and re-register.

Pure garbage!!!!

Bare knuckle on

I was able to get it working but sometimes it doesn’t feel like working, even up close. Now (2023) it doesn’t work at all after several attempts. It just doesn’t work, it’s pure garbage and the dumbest design for a car.

Wish I’d read the app reviews before buying

camfowpow on

As others said, you have to be so close the vehicle to connect to the vehicles Wi-Fi, all benefits that could be derived are eliminated (and what an absolutely ridiculous design). Wish i would’ve known before paying the dealership to get the code Do better Mitsubishi

Worse thing ever created

peakay76 on

Why would you make a remote app so useless. I get it if it was in beta, but it isn’t. It doesn’t connect, when it does it drops. I have just learned to say that my car doesn’t have a remote, which is ridiculous.

The worst app ever waste of time don’t work

Horrible connection

tjs721 on

Like most is have said. You have to get so close to connect that you might as well get in and start the car. I freeze in the lot at work getting close enough and going through the menus. I'd be better and it of the wind if I just got in.

Weak App

JohnL99 on

The connectivity is poor . You have to be within Covid distance to use it. The services are ok but really need battery health and more car information from app. It falls completely short. I purchased my car a 2018 PHEV used and did not have the Wi-Fi code. I asked Mitsubishi to try to provide it to me providing proof of purchase and they never responded. I had to go to the dealership and pay $135 to get the code and if I knew then what I know now I wouldn’t have bothered.

Update made it useless - 1201 error

Firesignz.com on

Worked great until this update came out. Now it is IMPOSSIBLE to connect to the app - WiFi connection is fine, always shows another connection being attempted. Disabled ALL other and still no good

Remote control wifi & cruise control speed at

zaebra on

The vehicle has enough good technology but has a bad design. To remote control over app the person has to be under 20 feet distance with no obstacles. This is not practical and is a half baked solution. You don’t even get to install a remote start module on Mitsubishi so out of luck there so why is it designed such a way? Also when to set speed using cruise, it doesn’t show the speed SET AT and it has a tachometer display. An advanced car with frustrating limitations

Not worth the hassle

Newsman2222 on

No streamlined connect. Default connection approach wants discovery on network. Lots of unrealized potential.

Pointless

I bought a pre-owned 2018 Outlander PHEV and couldn’t locate the SSID. I also own a BMW i3 and Toyota Prius Prime, and love the connectivity of their apps, so I contacted my dealership to get my SSID and had to pay them $139 to have them connect the computer provide it to me. What a complete waste of money. This app is useless. With my other apps, I can connect to my vehicle remotely within seconds to check on the charging status or to start my vehicle with climate controls. I live in the North, so this is definitely nice in cold winters. I can do this from miles away on my other apps (when parked at large buildings, when I land at the airport, etc). The WiFi connectivity is a horrible concept, and doesn’t even work as intended. You have to be very close to the vehicle for it to work, which defeats the purpose. You also can’t use your phone for anything else while connected, so you have to change the settings back and forth to check on your charging status. I hope they improve this in the next generation, or this will be my very first and very last Mitsubishi.
