the sock itself works great... I think? can't be too sure since this company can't seem to make an app or camera that functions properly.. can they be trusted that their sock technology actually does what it's supposed to do? for the price of this equipment, it is a JOKE that it isn't flawless.

This app needs serious improvement. It claims to “clinacally proven, medical grade accuracy” which is true, as long as you can get the app to stay open long enough to load the levels. The app is constantly quitting while in the middle of “loading” my babies vitals and sleep state. It takes 10 or so minutes to update the current sleep state. And often times, I click on my babies profile to see the sleep state and it shows there is no sock connected, causing me to reset everything at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 in the morning. The range from sock to base is not designed for bigger houses. When we bring our babies from their room to the living room, the base will beep at you constantly because of connectivity issues. And our living room is the same distance as their room. Even if you turn the base off completly, it seems to still beep after a few minutes of getting readings. And when it is beeping at you, trying to open the app takes even longer so I’m sitting there overstimulated with a screaming baby and a phone & base that won’t stop beeping because the app takes FOREVER to load. I love that this is designed to alert me and to keep my baby safe and I will say it has helped me get better sleep since my twins were born. But we spent almost $700 on these two owlet socks. For that money, this app should be working way better than what it is. Do better, Owlet. Do way way better.

Every single time I go to use the microphone feature it does it once then errors every time I try again until I force close the app a few times. You’d think they would fix this!?!

Data no longer updates correctly and I have to close and reopen the app. Video clips still do not record if the app is running. The latest update includes another gauge from Peaceful to Wiggling, why do we need two gauges showing the same thing? One is in an arc, one is horizontal, no idea what they are thinking. Just fix the basic functionality of the app, please.

I absolutely love the sock quality peace of mind. The app is so slow takes multiple refresh. Have had to unplug and plug back in a bunch for app. Why build a 5 star product and back it with a terrible app?

Thank you for finally getting the movement gauge added to realtime stats! I’m very happy to see you responding to customer feedback and making improvements. Convinced me to come back and write a review about it. I had been very irritated previously that when I upgraded the app I lost the ability to monitor her realtime movement. The app is still glitchy sometimes but force quitting/restarting the app seems to resolve 99% of the issues relevant to the current night. Despite bugs and some random irritations, I’m still grateful that the app was able to wake me and my wife to check on the baby one night when she was an infant. Without it, we wouldn’t have found out she had a fever in the middle of the night (the app didn’t tell us about the fever, just to check on her). Keep up the improvements!

The sleep slide bar needs to be bigger; if I slide my finger on it, it blocks the slider and I can’t read the data. Also, why do I have to press the button to expand the screen three times for it to expand? Otherwise, we like the app. Those things could be fixed.

The monitor itself is a god send. It grants so much peace of mind! However, the app constantly has issues. It takes long to load, freezes, and dont even get me started on connecting it to WiFi - a literal nightmare. Before you could view weekly sleep guide tips, now that’s not even available. Many improvements need to be made!

While I absolutely love the sock and camera, the app takes forever to update the stats. As others have said it takes multiple refreshes or closing the app for it to update. I also wish the data showed better after the sock is off. It continues to break stuff up like “morning nap” when I’m just feeding my baby and he goes straight back to sleep.

Crashes frequently while streaming video and makes the phone heat up considerably.
