*second edit after 3.5 months. Still love the premise behind the sock. Absolutely despise the app still. Takes the app way too long to connect. Doesn’t stay connected when you reopen the app. Again the lack of sleep summary times is still infuriating. Still love the sock but absolutely hate the app *Came back to lower the rating from 4 cause the missing of sleep hour summary is truly awful. I’ve needed it more times than I can count and for a sleep product it’s infuriating that I can’t look back on last night or previous nights once the sock is removed and see how many hours the baby slept. Other than the current in progress sleep, there is no where for me to see that information. With so many sleep tracking apps and things out there this is a huge miss for such an expensive product* It consistently takes a long time for the app to connect to the base. And if you switch out to another app with Owlet in the background, it won’t stay connected to base. When you come back you have to sit and wait for it to connect. There have been times it took up to 5 mins to connect. Nothing else on my internet is as slow so I have ruled out Internet connectivity issues. As an aside, during a sleep cycle you have the breakdown of how many minutes baby spent in each phase. Once the day is over you no longer have that, you just get the bar graph with no summary so you can’t see in the history how much better they are doing etc or compare. That seems like a no brainer to have so it’s very odd that you can only see the “awake, deep, light” sleep minutes during the cycle. The sock and the premise behind it I love. The app needs work.

This thing worked well for a while and now it shuts off multiple times a night. Save your money and buy a monitor that doesn’t do that

A year in and it’s hit or miss. Had a good stretch for a month or two but now just before and after the update it’s back to freezing and being it’s usual unreliable self. Owlet get your act together.

App runs slow and keeps saying connect to wifi when it already is (sleep still being tracked). Takes forever to load...

Unable to disable sleep aid alert. We are trying to put our baby to sleep then suddenly everything ring and it literally says « help your baby sleep »…. This is what we have been doing for the past 45 minutes and this app just woke her back up … Everytime it start ringing it takes 2-3 minute to load the app and sometimes the button lags out and you need to force kill the app. It work fine for O2 monitoring and heartbeat but everything is so slow to show up… Wish the O2 would show up on the graph as well as the heartbeats so you get at least an idea of how it went during the night instead of getting a average of who knows what. Would greatly appreciate updates to fix those issues and would give a 5 star instead.

Considering this is a $300 product you would think that their app would work, but it’s been hit or miss since we started using it eight months ago and it is only getting worse. I haven’t been able to use it at all tonight because it just won’t load. So frustrating when you pay so much money and there isn’t a usable interface to interact with. I wish we had gone with nanit at this point because this app is a nightmare

I always have the app open on my phone when I am ready to sleep just so I can hear if my toddler wakes but sometimes I wake to the camera being offline. It is not wifi issues. So if this happens and I don’t clear or refresh it I won’t be able to hear!!

I wrote a review a few weeks ago stating the app does not work and how frustrating that was. I read several similar reviews from other parents. CURRENTLY the app is working great!! It’s fast, it’s reliable, it alerts me when it’s supposed to it. Thank you owlet! 5/5 for the sock and app now.

This is the worst 400$ baby product/ safety product/ sleep product I have ever bought. WASTE of money. I am so mad. Doesn’t connect to app properly. So slow. The data it shows is absolutely useless and the oxygen readings don’t work at all. Nothing shows up under oxygen. Not even a ten minute average. It’s blank. Once you charge the sock all the data from that night is gone as well. You can’t go back and check on anything. This is probably the worst app I have come across in a really long time. I don’t understand how this product can cost so much and be complete garbage. I will be returning because this is a fraud- it’s marketing is false and and it doesn’t do what it says it’s supposed to do. I will be reaching out owlet Monday when they’re open again because I am 100% reporting this to them and making them aware that this is fraud.

Our baby just had a major surgery and we wanted to use this post hospital to monitor their recovery between follow up appointments. However, trying to set this up has proved to be a futile effort. I have spent about three hours trying to set up the base station via wifi but cannot get past the “click and hold down on the base station until you hear two beeps” section. The app also crashes half the time, or just simply will not advance past this page. For such an expensive product, I expected 1) instructions to come with the product, and 2) a streamlined set up process. Such a disappointment!
