Pretty weak, barely works for USB drives

Every time I want to use an external drive, I have to re-add it because even when the previous ”connection” for that exact drive remains in the app, it for some reason says I don’t have permission to view the drive. So I go to add the external ”connection” again and now I have two connections with the same drive name. How hard is it really to make a file browser that just detects the connected drives and functions like you would expect from decades of computers?
