Audio ads not muted by default

I gave four stars only for the reason mentioned in the title. Ads are fine because they pay for the product, but the audio should always, without exceptions, be muted by default (as indeed it generally is: OED is the first app ever I’ve found that does not comply) Hope someone reads this

Best app dictionary

The only reference for the English language you’ll ever need. Clear, complete, reliable.

Dysfunction

Impossible to open the application.

Previously paid apps are no longer working on new iPad

I am extremely disappointed by the current policy of the OED. Before the current upgrade, individual apps could be bought for other linguistic combinations – I had bought the OED monolingual dictionary, the Italian-English, French-English, and German-English dictionaries. Now it is impossible to open the previously bought apps on my new iPad – the apps will not load, and only an add with a blank screen appears. It is impossible to restore any of the previous paid licenses on the new app; the only option available is to buy a yearly subscription for 15 dictionaries, regardless of any existing paid license. I sincerely hope this is only a bug that it can be rapidly solved with the new update of this app, which will eventually recognise previously paid-for licenses, allowing users to access the dictionaries they have already paid for. Or please make sure to release updates of early apps. Hopefully you will make sure to find a solution to this predicament.

È tutto a pagamento! Inutile!

La versione gratuita è assolutamente inutile e inutilizzabile, è possibile cercare la definizione soltanto di un numero limitatissimo di parole (4 o 5) dopodiché ti chiede di pagare. Anche tutte le feature più utili come l’ascolto della pronuncia sono a pagamento. Pertanto è soltanto un ingombro sulla memoria del telefono, l’ho cancellata dopo pochi giorni.
