Excellent!
I’m using this for live gigs. It’s so simple and works perfectly. Far better than others out there.
Don’t bother
Used to be fantastic, used it weekly until the most recent update where they have removed the ability to scroll scripts up, down and play/pause with a tap of the screen. Having to take the phone away, options, restart script, wait until it’s back to where it should be, if I make a mistake?! No. Awful.
What have you done Parrot? Latest update Nov 17
I’ve been using this app as my go-to for professional work for a few years. I recommend it to people happily - til now. Why - oh why!? - would you remove the ability to scroll the text or to control the start and stop by simply tapping the screen? It’s unusable. Please tell me you can put these features back?
Don’t waste your time
Asked me to connect to drop box to import my scripts, done that but won’t import them!!! Absolutely useless
Was okay… useless now
was okay, until an update where the margins no longer work properly. The margins used to decrease the width of the text, now it only pushes it from the left.
Works very well
We use this standalone on iOS devices and also with the padcaster teleprompter hardware (which is excellent). The app takes a little getting used to but once you’re there the fine controls for scroll speed and font size are just what’s needed. We ask people who have prepared a script for camera to download the app and practice with the script. It means they’re ready to go and rehearsed with the app when we attach their device to the Padcaster. It’s a great workflow. Some comments on here say the app broken with latest update. It hasn’t. To access edit and delete functionality of scripts, simply swipe left to access the context menu.
Update not working
Since the latest update it’s terrible and completely unusable. I loved this app with my parrot Telprompter but now it’s pointless I’ve contacted support but no answer Remote not working properly Test is now too wide even with margins on minimum Please sort out and talk to me!!!
Updates app does not work
The updated app no longer connects to the remote properly, the margins are outside of the screen on iPhone 12 even at narrowest and speeds all changed! Very poor update
Avoid, very buggy.
Buggy as hell. Decent concept and design but terrible execution. Basic features like copy/paste a script in don’t work half the time. The app gets frozen and locked sideways. Each time I use it I have to restart my phone a few times to get this to work. Beyond that auto zoom on a camera can play up with the teleprompter attachment that you can buy alongside this.
