would love an banner or checkmark-like icon that displays if you already watched a video on beacon though or a “keep watching where you left off” subsection or a bookmark feature

Not much of a podcasting app when you can’t run it as a background app. App turns off every time I lock my screen which is frustrating.

It’s on the menu, but still grayed out for me. Not all of us have broadband. Some of us live in 240p because one bar of “4G” is our only connection to the outside world. Until I can lower resolution I’ve gotta stick to the website version.

Guys. It’s 2024. PiP/background play (for video and audio) is a necessity for a streaming app. At this point, I will not renew my membership unless this is added. This is a breaking feature IMO, and every review mentions this. The content is great, but there also needs to be some way of having an “up next” sort of playlist - not just in this app but in the service as a whole. It’s hard to see what you have played and haven’t, and where you need to pick up from.

I love critical role and I will do anything to support this company but this app so infuriating. It has a great idea but the amount of technical errors as well as times it does not save your progress in a video and makes you start from the beginning. Then when you try to scroll to where you were it auto put you back at the beginning, the app is slow and has alot of issues. It is a great idea but there are way too many problems to make it function on the phone. Watch it on a computer web browser and it’s totally fine, just skip the app for now until they make some necessary changes. Love you Critical Role, this isn’t your fault ❤️

Unfortunately the app only works about 20% of the time. You are better off using the website until all of these bugs are fixed. We also need an option to download episodes for offline viewing.

I’m just going to parrot what others have said. I love the content, but the app is hard to use. Content only plays if the screen is on which is annoying on a long car ride when you just want to listen to midst. I have to set my phone to never sleep - which I forget about and end up running the battery down or butt dialing someone. No Picture in Picture. Every time I try to access content it says I don’t have access. Or then it lets me have access and then I get audio only, no picture. The app is just too buggy. Which is too bad because that is my preferred way to watch hours long content - over my phone on my commute.

I love Critical Role and am genuinely excited for this app, but it needs a lot of TLC. My biggest gripe is that the continue watching is trash. When reopening the app to click on a video I haven’t finished watching it starts back at the very beginning instead of where I left off. It is very annoying to have to guess the time stamp of where I think I left off on. Also, are we getting the app on the Apple TV? Mirroring my screen works, but I mostly watch TV using my Apple TV

I love the Critical Role content but the app is so glitchy and unstable. I have to log in multiple times, there are lots of freezes and crashes. It’s hardly usable on a mobile device on the go. I hope the ability to keep playing when I lock my phone is added soon. That would make it so much more useful. Also the ability to switch between video and audio and have it keep track of your progress on a video and especially the ability to download content to watch it offline.

I wish the videos loaded with here you leave off. I’m not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but when I click on a video in “continue watching” it restarts the entire video. It’s also very glitchy and freezes a ton! Could be great but needs a lot of work to be worth the cost.
