Love Polarsteps as a way to journal and record trip but still haven’t quite got the GPS and location monitoring up to speed!

Sharing a trip

Excellent way to let others know where you are and what is going on. Being able to write about the day or place keeps the many events recorded. Keeps the photos linked to the place. Will be editing it on return. Saves contacting individuals one by one as they can see what’s going on. Easy to post.

Easy way of Keeping track of my travels

I’m on a long trip, so this is a great way to record our adventures.

A good travel tracking app.

Was referred to this by some who have been travelling and have this quite useful. It can be a bit clunky getting information into the app however it does provide the opportunity to capture as much information as you can about your trip. I am sure that with some enhancements, this could be a very handy app, however using Location Services, this can lead to heavy battery usage.

Took a little while

Took a little time to get into it but it’s great it keeps a track of your trips and people who have the app can follow easily Good fun

First time user

We installed Polarsteps to try on our latest trip and were very surprised how easy and great it is to use It’s a bit hard when you are in a non service area like middle of the Simpson desert to have it track your movements but you can manually set locations and then add pictures, it may not show exact travel but adds a straight line Whilst in service it really tracks well We ordered the photo book at the end and were really pleased not knowing what we were really getting but it’s awesome. It is an easy process to add or remove photos for the book and we are now adding a trip we done last year to Polar Steps so as we can have a book done Cheers Polarsteps keep tweeting the app to make it better Loyal user

Family travels

Brilliant to be able to see my family and their travels, their comments etc. I wish they had this many years ago for my parents when I travelled overseas for 3 years it’s superb, thank you.

Love Polarsteps

Love the Polarsteps App! Have used it for a few trips and printed books at the end of them. Which have been fantastic! Have recommended Polarsteps to lots of friends and family and they love it too! Love the whole set up with the map with photos, adding the description, inviting people to follow, even has the temperature of the day 😅👍so easy to use, it’s a great trip diary! It’s fantastic! 😊

Inaccurate tracking

The app is a great idea, but the tracking is patchy… and the intervals between points is often off, making the map look strange unless you mark a stop and then drag it to the correct location, even then this doesn’t always work… in order to get an accurate track you need to refresh the app constantly, exit out and re-open … very frustrating and dangerous if you’re driving.
