Description

Create 3D storyboards in your iPad or iPhone using simple taps, swipes, and gestures that you already know.

Filmmakers, directors, cinematographers, video creators, and screenwriters know that you MUST storyboard your shots and scenes BEFORE you roll camera.

Previsualize every shot in your scene AND every scene in your script.

Experiment - with 2D and 3D real-time views - to find the very best shot for your film or video.

STORYBOARD FAST

With Previs Pro, quickly build a 3D set populated with buildings, props, and characters. Position your camera and lights for the perfect shot.

Add a second shot - perhaps a Close-Up or Cutaway - by just moving the camera into position. Add more shots until your scene is complete.

** Final Draft Import **

Import every scene and character from your Final Draft script. You’re halfway finished before you even start. Works with Final Draft 12!

STORYBOARD EASY

Experimenting with different types of shots is a breeze. Simply move the camera around the 3D set until you find your shot. Pan left, tilt up, dolly in, or zoom. Your view of the shot is always updated in real-time. What you see is truly what you get.

STORYBOARD ANYWHERE

Storyboard where and when inspiration strikes.

If you're in the middle of production and a shot isn't working, then pull out your iPhone and design a shot that does work. Send and share the new shot with your entire cast and crew. The best storyboard is the one in your pocket — that you can change, and share whenever necessary.

** Augmented Reality **

With our A/R feature, you can place your virtual props and characters into a real-world location - the streets of London, on a bridge in Paris, or your own backyard - and start building shots in the same exact location where you plan to shoot.

Can't get there to use A/R? No problem. Import a photo or image of your location into your shot and use it as a "proxy". It's the next best thing to being there.

STORYBOARD LIKE THE PROS

At some point, you need to turn your shots in Previs Pro into storyboards for your cast and crew. If you're a director, you need to create a shot list. If you're a cinematographer or DP, you need information on camera type, lenses, and aspect ratios. If you're doing it all yourself, then you need all this information.

With Previs Pro, you can export storyboards as printable PDF's or shareable graphics files. You can include as much rich data as needed, or show nothing but the Camera View.

Expensive considering ..

RealSting on

This app is undeniably functional and valuable; I won't dispute that. However, my concern lies in its pricing. Considering the relatively short lifespan of apps on the App Store, I'm apprehensive that my investment, particularly the £300 lifetime option, might ultimately result in an unsupported and fading app, eventually vanishing entirely. I've witnessed this fate befall numerous apps over the years. There's a reason why most apps are priced at just a few pence or pounds on the App Store! I think more realistic pricing would attract more people.

Easily the best storyboarding app I’ve ever used

reebok29A on

I love this app - I’ve managed to knock out some storyboards fast while working on a major movie project and it has saved me a ton of production time as I’ve discovered some angles and shots too. I highly recommend this app to anyone who is wanting to find a way to make quick storyboard. It is extremely useful and easy to learn.

Excellent app.

A very useful app for storyboarding. It would be good if it had slightly more back grounds, like pavements and rivers which are difficult and more props - not all boy ones. But otherwise great.

Far too expensive.

RealSting on

Developers these days are far too greedy. App is way too expensive, it’s just a phone app for Gods sake! No app is worth £90 per year. Not so long a go apps with not much less functionality were £0.59 one off payment and you owned it! You have to consider that an app such as this (by most average filmmakers) would only be used on occasions, films that have any ‘budget’ to them would likely be storyboarded using more functional desktop class applications. Even if you do just reply on a phone for your storyboarding, there are cheaper ways to do it - just do your research!

This is amazing, if it works

Worrying Drake on

This app is incredible and it would be a time saver and worth the £170 odd quid IF it didn’t crash all the time. Wanna bring in your script sure you can but that’s gonna make it crash. Want to add in props from a third part developer? You can but as soon as you bring it in, it’s gonna crash. Spent 3 hours trying to bring in tiny props like a “Floppy disk” it’s not like I’m bringing in a massive building with loads of assets. Okay so let’s forget bringing in the script, let’s forget bringing in anything else because prep waits for no one and I really need to get started. I get some walls up some props and some characters, amazing it’s working until I’m half way through the scene and I try to bring in a new prop that’s gonna make it crash too. Genuinely think this is a brilliant idea and want it to work, I mean I paid for it and everything but it should just be called Previs-crash. Sorry I should mention I’m using it on an iPad Pro, loads of memory available so it’s nothing to do with my hardware. Good luck to the rest of you film makers out there. X

It’s bad

Good app

Is it your intention to waste users money?

Jtmrfilms on

Far too limited for any real world application. Unless your movie is about a few generic looking people arguing there’s not much you can achieve here. I’m making a film about knights and battles and monsters... non of which can be achieved in this basic app. Would it be a terrible idea to think about the wider creative needs of users?

Great app but no light diffusion options and way too expensive.

hugoknapp on

please please please add light diffusion options and reduce the £199 price tag. That’s a day rate for someone on set, not an app price. Also would be great so see some higher FPS options in the 3D view plus a desktop version. Plus the ability to show the light sauce in the 3D view.
