Terrible App

CLC-Houston on

United States

Much improvement needed. Only shows restaurants that require reservations. App doesn’t show buffet, main restaurant, or quick bite locations under ‘dining options’. You find them only by looking on each deck map. Also was very difficult to link minors listed on other reservations to track them in the app, which is a must when traveling with family.

Worthless app with nothing but sales pitches

rwpl on

Forced to use by Princess to get boarding information but ITS NOT THERE! NO cruise terminal information other then the city ship leaves from, NO boarding time, NO boarding Pass. This app has nothing of value.

Extremely poorly designed

One of the most important aspects of travel is knowing when to go where. Well, good luck with that if you use this app. We have not been able to figure out the time of our check in. Isn’t that sort of expected information in something called a boarding pass? Apparently that’s not a piece of information they chose to put in the app’s boarding pass.

Extremely annoying experience

One of the most infuriating experiences of my life, I couldn’t even log into my own internet plan. Ended up accidentally purchasing ANOTHER plan (no refunds) (no confirmation screen or anything).

Embarrassingly bad app

Jeeve'sCat on

First off, regardless of the device (this has been our experience on 3 different phones now), the app is SLOW. It takes upwards of 10 seconds to load any new page, process any input, navigate any menu etc. It also crashes relatively frequently. We’ve also had numerous issues checking and still have been unable to finish ordering cruise medallions (all the while receiving emails reminding us to). Customer service had been next to worthless, we were transferred to the wrong department more than once only to be sent back to the same people we began with each time, I was asked what my name was by the same person 3 different times (and to remind him why I was calling each time). No one could resolve the issues we were having and we’ve been told to try again on the app in a few days 2 different times now (we have). Frustrating to use, frequently buggy, incompetent tech help. This is a really, really embarrassingly bad app.

Beware

In Anchorage Ak. iPad lost all cellular service. Apple Store diagnosed Wi-Fi working and sent me to Att downstairs Att rep puzzled why their network was not working. I mentioned I was on Grand Princess cruise Told me I was his 6th customer that week with same problem Was able to get me working after that. Beware

plan to settle your bill in person

m.p.rae on

United States

we set up the app for our cruise at least a month in advance, which includes putting a payment method on file. this payment method was still linked to our profiles when we began our cruise. on the last day (the morning everyone is disembarking) we get a call to our stateroom saying we need to pay our bill, when some documentation we’d been given days prior by the staff said that if we had a payment method on file on our app, we would not need to settle our account in person. when speaking with guest services they said they didn’t see it on their end so we had to pay in person, taking time out of the busy morning of getting ready. what’s worse is that when we were being cleared to leave the ship, my partner was stopped for “not settling his bill” when we literally had done that with guest services less than 2 hours ago and had the receipts to prove it. it was a hassle and we were stopped at the gangway for several minutes, and just added to our annoyance of trying to get off and meet with our family. all of this could have been prevented had the app worked and connected with the cruise services.

Total failure app

katya, age 9 on

United States

Slow (loads for up to 5 minutes), doesn’t show your full schedule (only dining reservation, and also - starting from tomorrow, not today, why?), doesn’t show ship’s docking and departing times, doesn’t reflect changes to your food orders done by room service, etc. Wonder if anyone actually tested this app for basic functionality… Princess Cruise - please pay someone to test and fix the app. You provide a great experience, but the app ruins it!.. I work in IT, and know - it doesn’t take much to enhance it… please do!

Super glitchy app, user interface is horrible

elbastardos on

super quirky glitchy app. Some features are OK but the overall layout and logic of the app is not good at all. Needs improvement.

Has some good points, but key features missing

Please add push notifications to notify when chat messages are sent. Right now chat is functionally useless because I don’t know I’ve got new messages at the time they’re actually relevant. Also, please include excursions that I’ve signed up for the “Show Entire Ship Schedule” list. Otherwise it’s a pain to know if an onboard activity conflicts with an excursion I’m signed up for.
